I picked up a Nvidia Shield a month or so ago, and while android gaming wasn't the top reason to purchase one, I figured finding top quality games for that platform would be a good idea. Anyways I've been checking out the google play store and am not that impressed with what is available. There doesn't seem to be much depth with the top choices.

I'm a big fan of Advance Wars though. I was curious if the google play store has quality strategy games available that are atleast sort of in the realm of AW. Thanks.

So is the google play store so barren that no one can think of a light hearted strategy game which is highly regarded (ideally with a bit of depth to it).

you can get an emulator and play the famicom/super famicom/gameboy wars games
they're the previous entries of the franchise and as far as I know, it's not very different from advance wars

they haven't been released on the west but there are fan translations like this one

Doesn't seem as though the advance wars prior to the GBA era come highly recommended. Thanks for the effort though. Other people, who may or may not have posted in this thread, could learn a lot from you.

Thank you for not helping me out at all with my recommendation request. God forbid on a gaming forum someone ask for something as out there as a recommendation on what game to play. You're what's wrong with message boards. Too much sarcasm, and unoriginal sarcasm at that, and not enough willingness to try to help out.
