Would it be a good idea to make a template of specific setups for users to avoid many questions between yourselves, specifically for you guys since your the most frequent testers, and anybody else that's interested in frequent testing or even the occasional testing, something like this:

Wii/WiiU
Hollywood Ver.
SD/USB File Setup
Type of Controller (GC Remote, HID, USB adapter, PC gamepad, full specs on remote would probably be best.)

And whatever other useful info I might be missing. To make it easily accessible you can post a link in your sig with to the original post for people to see your guys setup, especially since you have a lot of successful & consistent results with Nintendont.

I'll say two things to you.. or maybe three..

1) If you don't see a message that says "X change made so controller.ini isn't necessary anymore", then you shouldn't make assumptions based on something as vague as "there were some files in a HID folder". Specially if the changelog already explains what kind of changes were made to the controller's code.

2) I hate being harsh, but bm123456 is right. If you keep posting random things you'll fill up the pages with useless posts that don't help anyone and even more, can be a bother to some.

3) I think it's VERY difficult to fix something that only happens to you. I don't know what's so different between your setup and Adeka's (just giving an example, because he has a Wii U as well) but I'm utterly amazed on how many issues you find with every revision. But here's the good news, I had that kind of DSI exceptions a couple of times when trying to load from Loader GX, if you haven't done so yet then launch Nintendont from the Homebrew Channel and try.

Does the same happen with SSBM having MCEmu on? Apparently JuanLeOnardO could play it flawlessly despite his problems with other games.
1) I've tested already with HID off and works again.. "I said that already"
2) I know bm123456 is right, i didn't say he's not right.. anyways, i'm the problem, i'v been a little bit intolerant about major "And/Or" minor issues (don't worry)
3) If i having some issues, something's wrong on my controller, nincfg, ninmem, or games; i'm saying i tested mario kart DD and SC2 and Exception DSI comes...

since r65 i'm not using USB Loader Gx, neither Wiiflow nor CFG USB loader. and I had exceptions DSI on 90% of my games (already tested on SD)...

i'll try plenty times to see what's wrong on my games...

OK I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure this revision out and i'm hoping someone else can test and confirm it works like this.

Games play with Memory Card Emulation off but if you turn it on then the controller will not work.

Am I correct?

Edit: I should mention i'm on a Wii U
Are you tested plenty more games as Mario Kart and Soul Calibur II already from exceptions (DSI)?

I think it's totally normal guys to have plenty of different results per user, there's plenty of different compatibility differences especially between HDD/SD brands and manufacturers so it could be totally valid what he's saying lol. Neway until we get more users that confirm several same results, nothing can be said, there's still plenty of differences in results just between a few of us.

Just checked Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Digimon world 4, and Wind Waker and they all have the same results I did before. I'm going to assume that is what he means by "WARNING: this revision breaks memory card emulation"

I copied my ninmem.raw on my PC in case of damaging my save data from games that i played with MCEmu. Don't forget to backup it.

I'll play again the r60 for a while...

Tried R66 with memory card emulation on with ps3 dualshock 3 controller no longer working game loads but controller not working, I have not tried with memory card emulation off yet. It does work on R65.

Well my controller stopped working with the latest revision. It's the wii u pro controller with mayflash usb connector.

http://tinyurl.com/p3ug48c

It worked fine before. Also why does it say to connect the controller to the back bottom usb port? It worked from the front port before. If I do that, then where is the usb Y cable supposed to go? Anyway I did that too, and the controller still didn't work.

Just as a reminder, I commited r66 just for the sake of finally having it commited cause I worked on it for a while and started having fear that I cant sync them up anymore. So, if you have problems with it just wait for me to finish all that code, its still not done, just the basics.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?
