Just wanted to say that I'm sorry that I forgot to mention WDM files. Of course, you don't need them anymore, so you can either delete or rename that folder. This was, of course, known by us, I just forgot to mention it. Sorry!

I've send a message to r-win. In this moment i can't connect to IRC. I've inserted code in wiiflow for cios base info recognition for all versions, and display value in menu_config_game when i select the ios number for the game to start. This include the new system inserted in the d2x v6. If he want i will send the sources without any problem.
Yep, and the code has been committed to SVN. Thank you. I think it's rev 361, but I'm not sure though

Another note: we've enabled the Google Code source tab again, and I've synced Google Code with our private SVN. Latest sources will be available there.

Are new beta dols gonna be posted on the wiiflow wiki like 355 was?

that is the planning, or maybe on google page... the one or the other, but...the rev must be at least as stable as 355 before we do that.
Exactly, only release candidates and releases will be posted, and I think Google Code is the best place for that. By default beta's will only spread internally, but you can always compile your own version.

Is there anywhere that lists the current bug list, so we can have an idea of what to expect if we decide to try the more recent versions.

I fancy trying the D2X v6 games support, but I am worried about experiencing problems with other games that currently work.

I sort of stuck on an older version that worked without any issues for me, but there is pressure from my daughter about support for the CSI games, and it would be nice not to need alt dol loading methods for some games i currently play.

you can go further back in the this post an grab the 355r for right now, until the "dream"team is done doing what they need to do. they are working as hard as they can, an i'm with you,in the same boat till they are done. an i'm sure our patience with them will pay off. 355r has limited bugs, as far as i know. an it is working with dx2...
thanks wiiflow team.. great work as always.

It is great even being able to ask such questions, as I love the fact WiiFlow is being worked on again.

I do understand that real life issues take priority over WiiFlow development, and I am happy with whatever progress is made.

Hence me sticking on a previous version, but now time to move to the latest version. I guess there are no major bugs!?

Thanks for all your work.

*edit*

Made the change to 355 and so far no regrets. Everything seem to be working as before, with the bonus of the alt dol games running as normal disks...which is awesome.

Unfortunately it may be so good that I'll have to update all my friends Wiis...

Can anyone help me understand what's going on here:
I have an american Wii, when I try to run a PAL game from Wiiflow it runs in black ans white, that's just obvious, so I need to change the video format to NTSC.
My problem is, some games don't load. After the Wiiflow loading screen I get nothing, just a black screen.
It happened with some Resident Evil game (RE0 or REmake, can't remember) and it happens with Pikmin 2 (this one was not released in the US, so the PAL version is the only one). Some other games however run properly, in colors, with the NTSC mode on, like Samurai Showdown Anthology and Disaster: Day of Crisis.
I'm wondering if the problem is in the copy I got from the game, or something else.

check your priiloader to see if you skipped the region free everything. i have pikmin2 an it never worked, so not sure on that one..
you can play with the settings in wiiflow, to get them to work.. but check your priiloader first.

I just realized that all three games that didn't work are actually rereleases of GC games, dunno if that's just coincidence or not. I'll check my priiloader anyways, thank you for your help.

I see, but is your Jungle Beat copy a PAL one that you force into NTSC with Wiiflow? That's the only games I got problems with. The first Pikmin works fine, it's a GC game retooled for the Wii, but it's already in NTSC so I don't need to force the video format. Pikmin 2 also runs fine if I don't try to force NTSC, but then it'll run in Black and White. As I said it might just be a coincidence after all.

I just upgraded to cios d2xv6 (249/56 & 250/57), then wiiflow r355 downloaded from the wiiflowwiki web site; I've found the stability seems better (less crashing so far) but I have one key issues, I get silence (ie. no sound) when on the main wiiflow screen. When I select a game and it moves forward, I then get the audio associated with the game itself before I select to play it, but none of the sounds associated with the theme are played any more. When I moved to r355 I deleted all wiiflow folders apart from the covers and themes directories, so all config files etc are generated by r355 when it first started. Any ideas anyone?

I also modded a new virgin Wii today, installed wiiflow r355 and this has the same result, so it appears a consistent problem for me.

Final question (which is less of a problem), I find the start time when the wiiflow dots are moving left and right lasts a lot longer with r355 than r345, is this is reasonable, i.e. intentional?

Thanks for a great loader, while it has these sorts of issues at present, I still much prefer it to the other loaders out here!

r355 is a beta, they released it so wiiflow users could take advantage of the newer dx2 cios. until they are finished with the official release, of an update. there are bugs because it is a beta. but as you have said they are very minor.

Hi I have the wiiflow beta r355, but a bug is when i change an "ios" in a game setting it loads it the first time, then once i restart my wii, and try loading the game again it freezes, so with wiiflow beta r355 it only loads the "default" ios

I've got the same thing - r355 will only load games if the IOS is set to "default". I wanted to use d2x so I installed it as IOS 250 and use the IOS250.dol from r355 so that d2x is the default IOS...
The only IOS that gets its version detected in Game Settings for me is 249r21b38 (Waninkoko) the others just say the IOS number.
This is not a problem for a beta though

I'm sure the devs are aware.

Just wondering, for those who have tried it, how stable and problem-free is the latest current revision r369 of Wiiflow?
