    yes, use the version that works with all regions (looks something like this: https://www.estarland.com/product-description/GameCube/GameCube-Free-Loader--Freeloader-Converter-US-Version/14438) there may be some exceptions but most games will work fine.

    Previously people have reported that you need to be on the latest firmware (or that opting to get the update for SDXC also updated switch to the latest firmware). Back when 2.0.0 was the latest version, the SDXC update could be downloaded for use on 2.0.0.
