    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Hi, it's been a long time since I wrote my last message here. I've been recently contacted by a Witgui user and learned that some games are composed of two discs, like G4BE08 - Resident Evil 4. I haven't tested this myself, but according to the user, UBSLoaderGX needs those two discs to be named...

Hardware Witgui, Wii game conversion utility for Mac

Sorry, it's a Mac only app.

I have also another question about GameCube games, since I couldn't find any information on the wit/wwt website. Currently it is possible to convert GC games to all formats, but can they actually be played when they are in a format different than iso or on a WBFS partition?

Yes, I get the point, but then if I can create both files from any other app why isn't this possible in wit? I have also observed that when a game filename contains the "=" character, it doesn't get listed at all. Is this a bug (since the character is allowed for filenames in the Finder)? Thanks!

Hmmm. I'm confused now, because apparently HFS+ (the standard Mac filesystem) is case insensitive, but filenames can contain both uppercase and lowercase letters, yet if I have a file named asd.wbfs and in wit I want to create ASD.wbfs, it complains that the file already exists. Do you know what...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Hey Wiimm, I just noticed that there seems to be an issue in wit: it is case insensitive. What I mean is that if I have a game on the Desktop named asd.wbfs and in wit create a new game named ASD.wbfs, the old asd.wbfs will be removed, but the new game will be named ASD.wbfs anyway. Is this a...

Yes I see. Thanks for the clarification!

Oh I see, thanks. I guess the wording "truncate to the needed size" leaves many hopes open ... maybe it could be clarified a little bit? A Witgui user was wondering why the scrubbing wouldn't work since on Windows he was used to get shrunk ISO files (no idea what tool he used).

I noticed that ISO files created with wit are always 4.7 GB even if the documentation says that scrubbing is enabled by default. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding the term "scrub"? Thanks in advance!

I'm referring to the --all option, not --auto (which returns an error if there are many WBFS partitions). Are they implemented in a similar way? I don't know how diskutil list is implemented or how wwt finds the partitions, but can you imagine why they could differ? Maybe a permission issue?

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

Hi Wiimm, some users of Witgui reported that they have problems listing WBFS partitions. I noticed that this happens when using the command wwt find --all, but everything works when finding all connected devices with diskutil list -plist and filtering out WBFS partitions when the command wwt...

Sometime ago I tried running 2 instances of wwt in parallel and I noticed that this way games are not added correctly to WBFS partitions. Is there a chance that parallel operations could be supported in the future?

Ok ... and is this guaranteed to rename only one of the 2 games? Which one?

Thank you, but actually my implicit question was: what if one wants to remove only one of those two games?

O Ok, I see. But what if an id6 is not unique?
