Hacking Emulation EZ Flash IV Emulation

Flashcarts are their own hardware, and as such emulating them would require... emulating them. Specifically. The kernel is a normal GBA ROM in many ways, though. For those of us with Game Boy Players, Game Boy Interface can also take screenshots, and since it's original hardware, no...

"GBA Link Connection" homebrew libraries now allows sending multiboot ROMs via the GBA's Link Cable or Wireless Adapter

Just the other day I was wondering if there was a GBA homebrew that let you send multiboots (fun fact - the official name is joyboot - or joycarry in Japanese) and now we have libraries for linkups. I find it funny how we understood Gamecube linking first.

Hardware Wireless link cable mod for gba

It's not exclusive to the GBA; a lot of old LAN netcode has extremely low latency tolerance. Just look at how Mario Kart Double Dash handles netplay versus how MKWii does: or the Xbox version of Halo 1 versus the original Halo 2. The games were made with the then-reasonable assumption that all...

Homebrew Is there a way to send multiboots via a flashcart?

Maybe. But my desire was more for a utility with DLDI support that can send arbitrary files. IIRC, Goomba handles its multiboot in a similar way to official games - by embedding the executable within its own ROM.

Homebrew Is there a way to send multiboots via a flashcart?

To clarify, this isn't about official multiboots; those are as simple as with an original cartridge. This is about homebrew ones, and specifically about using a GBA flashcart to host a multiboot that it can send to slaves. I already know about the Gamecube and Wii apps, and also about Game Boy...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

The NES Classic games specifically attempt to save to SRAM, and softlock themselves with an error message if they succeed. Less sophisticated flashcarts need an anti-antipiracy patch.

Homebrew Burn2Slot - Re-programm GBA bootlegs on DS

This was almost three years ago? Damn. I checked around and I really do have a rare chipset here. (An awful pity that I don't have a broadband adapter for the Gamecube to start debugging this) It has bankswitching, but not in any known way - and dumping the rom dumps a Digimon game. I'll look...

Hacking Emulation Homebrew Wimmfi not working usb loader gx

I'm fairly certain that Mario Kart Wii uses a specialist patch that basically allows for the server to hotpatch anti-cheat fixes into the game at runtime. I usually run CTGP when I play MKWii, so I don't know how well USB Loader GX works with it. Just in case, did you try updating the loader?

    Swiss on Wii

I've never had to do that due to owning a PAL Wii (I only use Swiss to make Crystal Chronicles run in 576p because I have it on disc) But there is an alternative Wii-mode loader to Nintendont. Devolution. Pre-dating Nintendont, it has a few key features that set it apart in niche use cases...

Is there a way to connect a GBA emulator with a physical wii to use the emulator like a real GBA?

Not only would you need to make different drivers for different operating systems, but also different architectures. Kernel-level software like drivers can't be shimmed - it's not as (relatively) simple as running Worms Armageddon on Linux, The Sims 1 on modern Windows, or Gamecube games in Wii...

    PSP Go help

Running Pokemon Colosseum on Nintendont as 2 disc game?

The European (PAL) version of Pokémon Channel also offers a very similar event Jirachi. It sets the same "got a Jirachi from a Gamecube game" bit on your R/S file too.

Is there a way to connect a GBA emulator with a physical wii to use the emulator like a real GBA?

Short answer: No. Either emulate, or buy a GBA, GBP, or an accurate clone console. Long, nerdy-ass answer: What you propose is a legitimately interesting engineering topic. Anyone who knows anything about computers can tell you that you could create a USB device that can link an emulator to a...

Hacking "Black Screen" when trying to exit out of Priiloader

USB 3.0 devices make Wii homebrew go rather persnickity, I notice. Forwards compatibility issues. I tried making it mount the SD by default, but it seems the only viable workaround is to make Priiloader take you directly to the System Menu. Might check for a cIOS update that makes more stuff...

    component cable Wii

Technically, both traditional composite and Y/Pb/Pr use RCA cables - it's just that Y/Pb/Pr splits the video signal down three cables for red, blue, and luma. This is actually why composite is called what it is - the cable itself was designed for black and white signals, and is very crisp when...
