    Tutorial Posting a System Check

I like how I wrote "This is not a place to post your SysChecks, it's just a guide" at the top, and literally over a decade later I'm still getting notifications about people posting their SysChecks here.

    Homebrew Pre-Compiled tested v14 Forwarder .dol's for Loaders/Apps/Emu's

For the record, feel free to rehost any of my old projects anywhere you want. I can't figure out how to get HacksDen working again, and I don't have the time to figure it out. I used to be very nervous about letting people host my projects because I was worried I'd make something with a bad bug...

    Convert2vWii 1.4

To convert your wad file, just drag-and-drop it onto Convert2vWii.bat. After a few seconds, a new file will be created that has " - vWii" added to the name. If the title ID will force 4:3 mode, or it uses IOS61 (which does not exist on the vWii), Convert2vWii will offer to make the necessary...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

I worked on that for a long time but never figured out why it isn't working. As I recall, it would just freeze. On top of that, SysCheck is not compatible with the latest versions of devkitPPC. Wintermute broke compatibility with a LOT of things during one of the updates, and it would be a...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

That's not a bug, it's intentional. Each IOS is tested to see if it's from a Wii or Wii U, since they have different firmware. It may not be a problem now, but early on there were a lot of people following Wii guides and installing Wii IOS's on a Wii U, which meant things didn't function...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

@XFlak I just noticed the picture at the top of the guide is a dead link. I'd also like to humbly suggest you switch sysCheck to SysCheck HDE. It is, if I may say so myself, the superior version. I could be biased, but I did make a fair number of improvements and bugfixes.

    Tutorial Posting a System Check

As I said, use ModMii. That will walk you through everything. You only want to update to 4.1 though. There's no benefit to having anything past that. All of your configurations, save data, and Miis will be saved.

    Tutorial Posting a System Check

SysCheck generates the date based on what your settings say the day is. The date is probably set incorrectly in your Wii settings. As for things you should fix, you've got the trucha bug patch on almost every IOS. That's from a very outdated method of softmodding. If you want stuff updated, do...

    Tutorial Posting a System Check

That may be. I've been out of the homebrew scene for many years. Most applications have been updated to work with AHB access as long as you launch them from the HBC. Assuming you have a Wii (not a Wii U), just use ModMii to mod your Wii in a standard way. That will include IOS249.

    Tutorial Posting a System Check

You can use SGM just fine without anything special installed. Try just scanning a single IOS to see if it generates a report.

Could you be more specific? Do you mean what IOS the HBC is using? Or your System Menu?

Hacking Sharpii-NetCore (A mod and port of Sharpii)

This is cool. I honestly didn't expect Wii relate projects to still be active when I got back on here. I wish this had existed back when I was still writing scripts. If anyone wants to adapt my Convert2vWii script to bash (or whatever else) with this, feel free. I know I wrote some other stuff...

    Homebrew [RELEASE] Wii-DOOM / Wii-HERETIC / Wii-HEXEN / Wii-STRIFE (ALL-IN-ONE) *PROPER*

What a time to get back online. It's been 2 years since my last post. I worked a fair amount of time trying to update my projects to work with the latest devkitPro, but eventually gave up. If it had just been my code that it broke, and if it hadn't been on the very end of the Wii's homebrew...

also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
