If you're sure that the kids don't need any kind of Internet connection, then delete each possible Internet setting and turn on Wireless connection. There's no way the 3DS can communicate anything to Nintendo then. Amiibo's needs the wireless for NFC, which is just like Bluetooth on phones...- Burno

As far as I read, just the flashcard's icon is concerned. I need the firmware to be updated again, since I'm stuck with the oldest one now I think.
