Well, this is the situation: my sister's DS broke its right hinge (the one near the lights, like the image below but on the right side):
![]() Now, it all worked fine, the DS no longer had that support of the hinge and when the screens were open instead of forming a 150 angle (like normally), they formed an 180 one. The screens were still working, though. However, the top screen now only turns on the backlight, whilst the bottom one works perfectly. Do you think the ribbon cable has somehow gotten a bit loose? I doubt it's damaged, otherwise it wouldn't even turn on the backlight... The crack is on the right side, and I know the ribbon cable connects on the left, but since the DS was in bad shape, it's likely it's damaged. What do you think I should do? Get a full housing and replace it?

Ok, guys, I got a PSP for Xmas. I checked it's firmware and it has 3.95. I also looked at the date code and it's 8B, which is CFW'able. Can I update to v5.00 and later use a Pandora without fear? Thanks.

Well, I've been digging information on this game that combines the addictiveness of Puzzle Quest with the virtual online pet site Neopets. Apparently, it's a Reversi game with a background story, and doesn't play pretty damn bad. We know that they will release November 25th on Wii, DS and PC.
In collaboration with The Daily Neopets (Neopets fan site where I work), some of the staff there have gotten their hands on a copy of the DS version. Now, if it had gotten into my hands, we'd already have it, but... Anyways, we managed to score an interview with Steve Fawkner,CEO/Creative Lead at Infinite Interactive, who worked with Neopets on the Neopets Puzzle Adventure game. You can check out his review right here. You can also play a DS demo of the game. Oh, and by the way, I posed questions 1 (notice the comparison to great puzzle/Capcom games) and 11.

While it's pretty obvious that the R4 doesn't support SDHC cards (at least the original R4 doesn't), the card reader that came with it does indeed support SDHC. I don't know if this has been tested, but I confirm it.
I got my DSTT in the mail today and it didn't come with the card reader (it was the new version from DX), so I inserted the 4 GB SDHC Kingston MSD card I ordered alongside it into the R4's card reader, and lo and behold, it recognized the card. So I downloaded the kernel, got some games running to see if it would copy and it did. Inserted into the DS, booted it up, and I was playing. So...yeah, for those who thought it didn't work, it does. So you don't need to go and buy another card reader when the R4's will do the job, if you have one already.

Can any of you access Demonoid? I just get a Unable to connect page, and their tracker is offline too.
