2. <b>Make sure you put everything in the same folder!</b>
3. Download Rudolph's AP patches: <a href="http://www.multiupload.com/N7GRGI81LJ" target="_blank">Pokemon Black</a>, <a href="http://www.multiupload.com/5KWJ4T95M9" target="_blank">Pokemon White</a>
4. Apply your ROM to Rudolph's patch by dropping the ROM onto the Patch.exe
5. You should now have two files: 'gamename.bak' and 'gamename.nds' (The '.bak' file is the original "clean" ROM, so <b>you want to use the '.nds' file</b>)
6. Now open xDelta GUI: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?x7e4t3212tsazu6" target="_blank">Download here</a>
7. Click "Select Patch" and choose the patch you downloaded
8. Now choose "Select ROM" and navigate to the Rudolph patched ROM <b>(The one with '.nds' extension)</b>
9. Now click on "Apply Patch" wait until it's done (You should have a '_patched.nds' file now)
10. <i>If you want:</i> Rename the '_patched.nds' file to whatever you want and then you are ready to play it!

<b>Attention!</b> If you've applied the Patch, but everything is Japanese except the logo in the game, you can try this:
<b>The game sometimes likes to switch text modes randomly, so what you need to try is in the 'Options' of the Pokemon game, go to the 5th option down and make sure the first one is selected or 'normal' is selected. Hope that helps!</b></p>

<p align=" " class="none"><b>Save Issues Desmume</b>
To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following:
Make sure the .save file name is the same as the .nds
If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)'</p>
<p align=" " class="none"><b>TTDS Error - 4</b>
From what I've read up in the forum (specifically ddc1's post) the problem involves the 'True Game ID' being different which is why your game won't load. Do the following to fix it:
<b>1.</b> Download the following package <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?rco5tv4wvgto1nt" target="_blank">Here</a>
<b>2.</b> Use ttd.exe to open up the following files in your flashcard 'extinfo.dat' and 'infolib.dat' (Always make a backup in case something goes wrong for whatever reason)
<b>3.</b> Search for the Clean B/W Game IDs (Black: IRBJ-5F0EA646 / White: IRAJ-0203EC40 ) <== Make a note of these cause you'll need to come back to these
<b>4.</b> Move your game to the same folder and run eNDryptS Advanced(Run as administrator if you have issues) when the menu comes up press '1' it should do some work and say ' Decrypted --> Encrypted (X)' and at the Bottom it should say something along the lines of sucessfully patched.
<b>5.</b> Press any button to take you back to the main menu and hit '1' again this time it should say the reverse 'Encrypted --> Decrypted'
<b>6.</b> Go back to ttd.exe and replace the Game IDs you found earlier with these
<b>7.</b> Replace them with the following ( Black Patched: 'Game ID' / White Patched: 'Game ID' ) <- These will most likely change with every patch, use <a href="http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA013928/bin/r4cce086.zip" target="_blank">r4cce</a> to get the ID.
<b>8.</b> Save and move game back to your flashcard and play!

<p align=" " class="none"><b>YSMenu Fix</b>
OK Here's how I got it to work in YSMENU.
First download this: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?rco5tv4wvgto1nt" target="_blank">Link</a>
1. I used enDrypt to find the true game ID of the translated version beta 2 of Pokemon Black and White by running the program with all it's files (the two eNDrypt files and Patch engine) in the same directory as the Pokemon Black rom. I pressed 1 to encrypt and then did it again to decrypt so that the rom would have it's True game ID
2. I used ttdt.exe to open extinfo and infolib to find the true game ID for the Clean Pokemon black and White.
3. I replaced the game ID of the Clean Pokemon Black with the True game ID of the Translated beta 2 Pokemon black and White inside both the extinfo and infolib files found in your ttmenu folder.
Here's what you need to do to play translated beta 2 black/white.
1. Place your translated rom inside the eNDrypts folder and run it as Administrator (Thanks for the tip AlterBridge). Press 1, wait for it to finish encrypting, press any key, then press 1 again.
2. Place the TTmenu folder inside you MicroSD card root. I.E. the first thing you see when you navigate your Micro SD card. It should overwrite files. If it doesn't, you are doing something wrong or don't have DSTT or YSMENU.
3. Run the translated rom the same way you would the untranslated rom.
The untranslated file will most likely not work until you switch back your files.
All files you need are in the link Works for White and Black now.

<b>The game is giving me a white screen</b>
You haven't decrypt -> encrypt, encrypt -> decrypt'd properly. You must do it exactly how is said in the guide, otherwise you'll get the white screen.
<b>The game is stalling on the load screen</b>
Check your soft reset settings. Flick it to opposite of whatever it currently is. The clean version on DSTT didn't have soft reset issues, the patched version does.
<b>The game is still stalling on the load screen</b>
Switch to YSMenu. Simple guide is located above. The tick button for soft reset is on the game, middle button, in Japanese. Will be unticked to start with, must be ticked or the game will stall.
<b>The menu is still giving me the ERROR=-4 message</b>
You forgot to replace or modify your extinfo.dat and infolib.dat files. Make sure they're in the TTMenu folder.
<b>The original Japanese games are giving me the ERROR=-4 message</b>
Once you've modified extinfo.dat and infolib.dat, the old games won't work. Replace them with the files in your backup. They'll work again, and the patched versions won't.
<b>My save from the original game is gone</b>
Go into your game folder on your DSTT. Check the filename of your .nds (game) and .sav files.
Find your original (Japanese B/W) save, and rename it to the exact same name as the patched version, except with .sav at the end instead and it'll work. You shouldn't need to do any converting, it should work without any other hassle.
example:
Pokemon Black.nds
Pokemon Black.sav
(MATCH! These two saves will work together)
example 2:
Pokemon Black Patched.nds
Pokemon Black Clean.sav
(NOT MATCH. Will NOT work.)
<b>I'm upgrading from v2 to v3 and getting a white screen</b>
Did you patch a clean version of the game, or try and patch your v2 to v3? Patch a clean version. Remember to decrypt -> encrypt, encrypt -> decrypt. Assuming the Game IDs in the main post stay up to date, you should be able to edit your extinfo.dat and infolib.dat files (or hopefully not need to).
<b>Do I need the exp or non-exp patch version</b>
The latest DSTT software update comes with a fix for EXP inbuilt into it. That being said, I've been using EXP-inclusive patches and they work perfectly fine.
<b>What card / micro sd are you using</b>
All of the above was tested on an original DSTT cartridge, with an authentic SanDisk 2GB MicroSD card. I have not tested MicroSDHC, and have had a lot of trouble with fake Kingstons in the past. Buy authentic, there's a lot less risk of losing all your save games. And back up regularly.

4. Apply your ROM to Rudolph's patch by dropping the ROM onto the Patch.exe
5. You should now have two files: 'gamename.bak' and 'gamename.nds' (The '.bak' file is the original "clean" ROM, so <b>you want to use the '.nds' file</b>)
6. Now open xDelta GUI: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?x7e4t3212tsazu6" target="_blank">Download here</a>
7. Click "Select Patch" and choose the patch you downloaded
8. Now choose "Select ROM" and navigate to the Rudolph patched ROM <b>(The one with '.nds' extension)</b>
9. Now click on "Apply Patch" wait until it's done (You should have a '_patched.nds' file now)
10. <i>If you want:</i> Rename the '_patched.nds' file to whatever you want and then you are ready to play it!

To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following:
Make sure the .save file name is the same as the .nds
If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)'</p>
<p align=" " class="none"><b>TTDS Error - 4</b>
From what I've read up in the forum (specifically ddc1's post) the problem involves the 'True Game ID' being different which is why your game won't load. Do the following to fix it:
<b>1.</b> Download the following package <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?rco5tv4wvgto1nt" target="_blank">Here</a>
<b>2.</b> Use ttd.exe to open up the following files in your flashcard 'extinfo.dat' and 'infolib.dat' (Always make a backup in case something goes wrong for whatever reason)
<b>3.</b> Search for the Clean B/W Game IDs (Black: IRBJ-5F0EA646 / White: IRAJ-0203EC40 ) <== Make a note of these cause you'll need to come back to these
<b>4.</b> Move your game to the same folder and run eNDryptS Advanced(Run as administrator if you have issues) when the menu comes up press '1' it should do some work and say ' Decrypted --> Encrypted (X)' and at the Bottom it should say something along the lines of sucessfully patched.
<b>5.</b> Press any button to take you back to the main menu and hit '1' again this time it should say the reverse 'Encrypted --> Decrypted'
<b>6.</b> Go back to ttd.exe and replace the Game IDs you found earlier with these
<b>7.</b> Replace them with the following ( Black Patched: 'Game ID' / White Patched: 'Game ID' ) <- These will most likely change with every patch, use <a href="http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA013928/bin/r4cce086.zip" target="_blank">r4cce</a> to get the ID.
<b>8.</b> Save and move game back to your flashcard and play!

<p align=" " class="none"><b>YSMenu Fix</b>
OK Here's how I got it to work in YSMENU.
First download this: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?rco5tv4wvgto1nt" target="_blank">Link</a>
1. I used enDrypt to find the true game ID of the translated version beta 2 of Pokemon Black and White by running the program with all it's files (the two eNDrypt files and Patch engine) in the same directory as the Pokemon Black rom. I pressed 1 to encrypt and then did it again to decrypt so that the rom would have it's True game ID
2. I used ttdt.exe to open extinfo and infolib to find the true game ID for the Clean Pokemon black and White.
3. I replaced the game ID of the Clean Pokemon Black with the True game ID of the Translated beta 2 Pokemon black and White inside both the extinfo and infolib files found in your ttmenu folder.
Here's what you need to do to play translated beta 2 black/white.
1. Place your translated rom inside the eNDrypts folder and run it as Administrator (Thanks for the tip AlterBridge). Press 1, wait for it to finish encrypting, press any key, then press 1 again.
2. Place the TTmenu folder inside you MicroSD card root. I.E. the first thing you see when you navigate your Micro SD card. It should overwrite files. If it doesn't, you are doing something wrong or don't have DSTT or YSMENU.
3. Run the translated rom the same way you would the untranslated rom.
The untranslated file will most likely not work until you switch back your files.
All files you need are in the link Works for White and Black now.

<b>The game is giving me a white screen</b>
You haven't decrypt -> encrypt, encrypt -> decrypt'd properly. You must do it exactly how is said in the guide, otherwise you'll get the white screen.
<b>The game is stalling on the load screen</b>
Check your soft reset settings. Flick it to opposite of whatever it currently is. The clean version on DSTT didn't have soft reset issues, the patched version does.
<b>The game is still stalling on the load screen</b>
Switch to YSMenu. Simple guide is located above. The tick button for soft reset is on the game, middle button, in Japanese. Will be unticked to start with, must be ticked or the game will stall.
<b>The menu is still giving me the ERROR=-4 message</b>
You forgot to replace or modify your extinfo.dat and infolib.dat files. Make sure they're in the TTMenu folder.
<b>The original Japanese games are giving me the ERROR=-4 message</b>
Once you've modified extinfo.dat and infolib.dat, the old games won't work. Replace them with the files in your backup. They'll work again, and the patched versions won't.
<b>My save from the original game is gone</b>
Go into your game folder on your DSTT. Check the filename of your .nds (game) and .sav files.
Find your original (Japanese B/W) save, and rename it to the exact same name as the patched version, except with .sav at the end instead and it'll work. You shouldn't need to do any converting, it should work without any other hassle.
example:
Pokemon Black.nds
Pokemon Black.sav
(MATCH! These two saves will work together)
example 2:
Pokemon Black Patched.nds
Pokemon Black Clean.sav
(NOT MATCH. Will NOT work.)
<b>I'm upgrading from v2 to v3 and getting a white screen</b>
Did you patch a clean version of the game, or try and patch your v2 to v3? Patch a clean version. Remember to decrypt -> encrypt, encrypt -> decrypt. Assuming the Game IDs in the main post stay up to date, you should be able to edit your extinfo.dat and infolib.dat files (or hopefully not need to).
<b>Do I need the exp or non-exp patch version</b>
The latest DSTT software update comes with a fix for EXP inbuilt into it. That being said, I've been using EXP-inclusive patches and they work perfectly fine.
<b>What card / micro sd are you using</b>
All of the above was tested on an original DSTT cartridge, with an authentic SanDisk 2GB MicroSD card. I have not tested MicroSDHC, and have had a lot of trouble with fake Kingstons in the past. Buy authentic, there's a lot less risk of losing all your save games. And back up regularly.
