Kernel 2.0 RC7 (22nd of October 2009) released
gamefixes, gamefixes and more gamefixes


After a short delay from some last minute bugs the EZTeam have released RC7 of the 2.0 kernel line used by all versions of the EZ5. Many games with piracy protection have been fixed and the cart now supports DSi hybrid aka twlsdk games. Several minor tweaks to the kernel, a new default skin, more languages and several fixes are also in there as well as a download play patch toggle.

The EZTeam also sent an EZ5i for GBAtemp to review a few days back, we are going to wait until 2.0 becomes more stable as not enough has changed since the EZ5plus review to warrant a full review (better savestates, walkthrough support, a new fast loader and DSi support for the EZ5i model are the main changes since the EZ5plus review) although if it is requested we can do a short summary.
Our friends over at DSDatabase also got review samples with which they reviewed and now they are also holding a raffle for an EZ5i, you can find links to the reviews as well as information on the raffle over on the forums here.

It's nice to see that the kernel can finally launch the HomebrewMenu again, thanks yaynds.gif Also I think the kde4 skin is much nicer than the standard one

@regnad : i'm not from a so far country.
Note that Bunjalloo doesn't freeze on ez5 v2 so it's an issue tied to the EZ5i.

Concerning new default skin, i would like to thank Jesusperez for his great skin KDE4 and also Mr Skinner for the vista one.

Mbmax: I was joking! It's just that your profile at GBAtemp says that's where you're from!

But if you were in Antarctica, that would explain the freezing problem!!

Look forward to the homebrew update, and I'm thrilled that EZ-Flash is still supporting it's products well! It beats the hell out of my crap old R4.

Getting this error when I try to start using RC7. Using a regular EZ Flash V, not the Vi.

Any ideas?

Edit: I got it. For anyone else that gets this problem, completely delete your old folders instead of replacing.
