Step 1: Formatting your microSD | This will erase all files on the MicroSD, so please back your things up first!

First, download the SD formatter from here: link

Once done, run the formatter.msi file, get through the installer, and open the formatter via the desktop icon. Plug your microSD into your pc, and the formatter should auto detect it. Now all you have to do is click "Format"

Step 2: Installing AKAIO onto your MicroSD

First, download AKAIO from here: Download

Extract the downloaded .zip file, I recommend using 7-Zip.

Plug in your MicroSD card, and hit "Open Folder to View Files"


----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drag the extracted akmenu4.nds and __ak2 folder to the root of your SD card


----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drag the ak2loader.nds from the extracted folder into SD/__aio/Loaders/ and replace the current loader file

Step 3: Updating the cheat database

Lol yeah that is a long step one. >.> Insert edits and line breaks to make it look less like a clump and more like a guide. Oh and tell them to use this version of AKAIO It already has the loaders that allow it to work on the AK2i.

Great guide for noobs! I will need it whenever my Acekard2i comes in. Though I wish it was a Cyclo DSi flash card. We can wish.

I don't wish for a Cyclo DSi flash cart >.> the price for that will just be too much for me and possibly for other people as well. Don't say once you buy it you save because I prefer something like the AK2i or the M3i anyways.

It's already stickied as a WIKI but nobody seems to care. No matter how many stickies are up there people still post silly questions like "OMG help meeee! How do I set up the Acekard?!!!"


ps: you forgot to mention the Panasonic Formatter. Also, 7zip is a much better compression software than WinRAR. It's free and supports all the popular formats (ie. zip, rar, etc).

I don't get how people don't read the stickies. It's the first thing on the boards you see when you load the page.
And when you finally confront someone and ask them to read the stickies, they'll state they didn't even know they were there.
I find that completely dumbfounding.

Idk how else to make it more obvious besides making this renaming this thread in all caps and including the words "NOOBZ" and "GUIDE" to catch their attention.
Usually when i'm new to a forum, even if I know my information, I still read the stickies and the "newbies guides" just to see if there's anything else I don't know or something I accidentally skimmed over and didn't know.

Haven't you basically typed up what's already in the Wiki, which was made to stop more posts? And you've basically just killed the purpose of the Wiki by making yet another thread, in an attempt for your own sticky. Which you can't deny, since you've put a vote on it.

So... yeah, thanks for giving us information what's already there. Why people would read this if they didn't already look the the Wiki, which is already sticiked, I seriously don't know. Think about it, the Wiki has a sticky, that doesn't stop stupid posts, so neither will this. There have been loads of these thread sput up, all have failed in their purpose.
