Yasu has just released r4dldi.dat today!

This means you can now launch Homebrew from YSMENU on the R4!

Guide how to get YSMENU to run on R4: http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=97615

Guide how to get r4dldi.dat and how to get it work

1. Download it from http://home.usay.jp/pc/etc/nds/ near the end there's "DS(T_T)DS" download ttextract.exe r4dldi.dat
2. Run ttextract.exe after you've TTMENU.DAT and r4td.dldi in one folder
3. Now that you've got r4dldi.dat, place it in the YSMenu folder on your card
4. Launch Homebrew!

Thanks Yasu!

What Exactly does YSMENU R4 to the R4???
YSMenu is a homebrew loader for the R4. It uses the DSTT software for better rom compatibility and has some nice features like clean GBA rom support and support for NES-, GB- and SNES-roms through emulators.

though... I still prefer the original GBAExploader... most gba games aren't patched correctly by the ysmenu... I for example can't put in a clean version of Payback without getting a EEProm Read error... that means I gotta stick with the good ol gbaexploader !

Hey there, I am planning on using this, but I have a couple of questions:

It may sound noobish but what is clean GBA rom support? Is it that you don't need to use gbaexploader to load GBA roms?
Can I browse through folders with YSMENU?

thanks in advance

and what about using multiple saves (GBA roms), Is it supported by YSMENU

Not as far as I know. You will have to use GBA ExpLoader for this. But it may be implemented in the future, and you can always use them both

Btw, does anyone else have problems using the new ttextract.exe? At one point, it just freezes! This is the output it gives:
Code:
1st: 0x4F358, 0x10000
2nd: 0x5F35C, 0x16200
creating ttdldi.dat
creating ttpatch.dat
patch start: 0x1DBD8
patch const: 0x1DBF0
creating r4patch.dat
patch dldib: 0x95D8
patch dldih: 0x1A718
patch flags: 0x4460
patch start: 0x1DBD8
patch const: 0x1DBF0
patch prep: 0x1DF6C
patch read: 0x1DFAC
patch write: 0x1E032
patch flags: 0x1E550
creating r4dldi.dat
patch dldib: 0x3D68
patch dldih: 0x14BFC
patch DLDI: 0x152B0
Then it doesn't do anything
wacko.gif

Using the original R4 DLDI-file btw.

Edit: sorry, I didn't rename it to r4td.dldi. I'll try again.

Edit: this time it freezes after:
CODE1st: 0x4F358, 0x10000
2nd: 0x5F35C, 0x16200
creating ttdldi.dat
creating ttpatch.dat
patch start: 0x1DBD8
patch const: 0x1DBF0

Edit: actually, according to the readme it should be named r4tf.dldi. This doesn't work either...

No, it means that it's finished and you can close the window now. You've now r4dldi.dat!
