Wiiboxart Free again ?

Hi all,

I had a bit of a discussion today on the shoutbox of the covers site and i was explaining the plans to people on the site as to what was going on and what had happened and the future plans.
Anyway - in brief its this - the initial donations were to cover site costs - once that was complete donations were made to different coders of different loaders in order to say thank you from the public.
It came from the site as i realised that no one was actually donating to these lads , so even though its not huge money when spread out , a small bit of a donation as appreciation is always well appreciated, so i found the main coders in the loaders that used my site and gave them something.
Now i think i have almost covered everyone , though i want to give some to the GX team as well even though they are not using the site , but the work they put in is amazing and may appreciate it so they deserve a bit as well.

One i had that i was going to open the memberships to be free so that anyone could join without needing to donate , but someone suggested that i should still keep the members area as donate only and continue to send the donations to the coders as they tend not to get direct downloads much and this way seems to give them something.

Anyway , i want to see what opinions others have on this as i know the whole idea has caused controversy initially and i have already been badmouthed without everyone knowing the whole story of what was going on.

Ill set up a poll and leave people vote to see what they want to happen.

Hi Guys,

I have registered www.wiiboxart.com for the box art site and just wanted to make the loader developers and others aware of the change.
Some of the coding was a little messed up because of the namechange as it based the images coding on the URL (checked to see if a resize was requested or not and other things) but i believe i have fixed that side of things now.

Im going to leave both links work for now , but eventually ill be disabling any references to theotherzone.com so in about 2 months time any loaders trying to get covers from theotherzone link will fail and it will only work from wiiboxart.com

for coders , basically replace www.theotherzone.com/wii/ with www.wiiboxart.com/ and it should work normally.


If anyone has any issues can you let me know as i may not spot all of the problems, but i think i fixed most of the initial change over ones.

I'm not really sure of the section to put this in as its not directly related to backup loaders.

I just put a donation link onto the wii boxart site that the loaders use and within 15 mins i had 3 donations (which i hadnt expected to be honest).
I just wanted to say thanks and that it gives me a bit of drive to keep working on the site and try to make it even more user friendly.
Any donations will be put towards the hosting of the site so even the smallest donations are appreciated greatly.

Thanks again guys, its nice to know that eventually the site might sit on its own without costing me to host it

I also want to say a big thanks to all the guys working on the site doing some codes for it , doing the 3d covers , the disc art , the main covers , the full covers (added today) the moderation and upkeep of the site.
Everyone has put a load of work in and the community and loaders are all benifiting from the work they all do.

USB LOADER COVER IMAGES

Guys,
I was trying to find a list of Games ID -> Game name -> Game image and i failed no matter where i looked.

I have taken the lads (Kosaic and maddoc ) images and written a quick PHP page (im in work so cant do too much) and ill start to fill in the blanks as we go and later ill add an upload page , but i think if this is kept up to date it may help others going forward.

Let me know what you think or should i just scrap the idea ? ...

You will get the game id by loading it from some the USB loaders and some of the PC tools also show it.
