Repeat stage 1 over and over for parts and crystals, go for all 10 chests so you get the +500 ether crystal bonus. Any extra parts you don't think you need, you can go into the Create/Crystallize Parts menu (its next to Poppiswap) and press Y to switch to Crystallize mode. From there you just pick the parts you don't want and turn them into ether crystals.
You know, I overlooked the conversion option completely, no wonder it felt tedious, thanks for pointing that out. :P

The other problem is playing the Tiger Tiger game, every time you win or lose, you have to start the whole thing over again, adding loading times. Also every time you take a hit, you lose treasure chest, it gets annoying after awhile and is not very fun for a mini game, is just boring to have to do just for one type of character to improve. I hope they plan to do something about it in a patch update.

on dec 22th update, they plan this :
• An easy mode will be added to Tiger! Tiger!

I rarely played (4-5 times?) and never upgraded poppi (poppy/flower/hana/stupid name change)
I'm 30H, still on chapter3, but I just play with what I have and I think I don't need to upgrade or change her elements or fighting style. leveling up is enough to improve her.

I completed the game without upgrading her (though by that time you can form a team without tora) So is really minute to have. Is more of just having a fully customizable character for people who wanted such freedom. The best use of the blades is the Affinity flow chart, you start to realize how much better they are when is more complete through progress. Mix that with the different weapon chips, aux core crystals and accessories and you basically never need to customize her. The only real thing you could do is just maybe change her elements to make it easier to perform elemental blade combos for the chain attack and breaking orbs abuse for huge damage.

Is there a map button? Can't seem to figure it out if there is

Were you paying attention to the tutorial? :teach:

Using the left stick button (Click the left thumbstick) will change the map size. Otherwise you can view a map screen in the skip travel by pressing X button or using the pause menu.

Thanks! I screenshotted all the tutorials but just didn't want to sift through all my screenshots to find it.

I think they should potentially add a option to review the tutorials in a future patch. I dunno why is not there, but there is stores in the game that gives information. (Looks like a news paper icon) you can buy information which is just tips or necessary items for completing some side quest, and review them from the item screen. I think they intended this to be more useful than the tutorial as a long term thing.

The problem i think is the idea of paying for tips, that range to least 5000 gold is kinda unheard of in a game, that is like buying a strategy guide just to get some helpful ideas on how to be better at the game.

Wish I would have had the foresight to do this.

Yea, it really adds up to an insane amount of gold, especially early in the game.

Welcome to a help and support thread for the game. :P

Well I guess, is just odd to have to pay for tips. Is like a strategy guide within the game instead of seperate from brady games. I'm sure people would have rather bought a real guide but with online sharing of info, is just not needed. I suppose if you don't intend to use such things, the game provides everything it needs to the player for a complete solo spoiler free experience.

Some of the info i find useful since it does help make some things simpler, but some of those "INFO" you are required to purchase due to the proper side quest you are given, for example. The merc guild has different quest that you would have to complete to purchase proper info from the news stand to complete a side quest to finish and obtain the reward, which is just outrageously extended with this concept. I dunno what to say, except is never been done before, it may sound so silly but least they tried something uncommon which helps in some degree by not keeping it too similar to anyone who wanted new experiences. Might as well been a real life mercenary. :ninja:

NEW PATCH HYPE Version 1.1.1 is here. :)

In addition to some bug fixes, we will address the following points:
  • An easy mode will be added to Tiger! Tiger!
  • When you press the X Button, the Skip Travel screen will open the map to your current location. We hope this will make it easier to spot Skip Travel locations and Salvage Points on the map.
  • An additional 1:1 zoom on the mini map will be displayed by pressing the L Stick. This will allow improved visibility of your surroundings and make it easier to check quest locations.

is that just the dpad which feel better?
the other hardware is identical?

I'm still hesitating, the pad is expansive.

small things in the update makes life easier!
map open directly on the one you are located with X button.
and minimap displaying the full map at once on screen with L pressed.
retracted : it's not the full map, it's just portion of it, sometime cropped, but being smaller is easier to locate yourself on the map than the previous map zoom.

I just thought they painted it differently to look different. Doesn't seem like a major upgrade or change at all, just a new design to relate to the game. I hardly see anything as improved. :P

It doesn't seem like easy mode made much of a difference. Is not like you have any advantage, least what I noticed. I expected something like
  • Keep treasure even if damaged
  • Keep the 8 way anchor shot
  • less damage
  • more item drops from enemies
It just seem the same, how bout extra credits or something O_O

I rarely play tiger, so I don't have any ether at all, so poppi is just basic unupdated :(
If you have the Season pass, they just gave out 30000 crystals to all of them who bought it. Guess it helps. :P

But you don't need to worry about it, by the time you get deeper in the game, you won't have be using tora as much cause of more party members, also is probably the most benefit to focus on affinity chart than her customizations. Is nothing more than a feature for someone who likes custom character building rather than working with preset characters. :P

Is kinda poorly built though, most of the time you playing tiger tiger to get ether crystals and it takes so long to do so, and you need way too much to do anything good very early, especially without poppi other blade models. Though there is a option to convert parts into crystals to boost production. They may fix this in a new patch.

Pretty much, but the D-pad is soooooo nice in Puyo/Tetris. I'm sure there will be other games that need a good D-pad (Street Fighter 30th anniversary, 90% of puzzle games, classic S/JRPGs, VC, etc,) and with most of the other knock-offs being "meh", the price is definitely worth it, if you can snag it for retail (I got one from Game$top by having it shipped from another Game$top instead of ebay/Amazon inflation prices).

I'd act fast before they completely sell out and people charge $150.00. There's also the problem of, "Will Nintendo make an improved controller anytime soon?"

Easy mode basically lets us touch the walls/blocks without getting damaged thats about it
