Can’t the Wii U emulate the Gamecuve and isn’t the GC more powerful than the PS2?

why do people think its emulation? nintendont does not emulate gc, the gc uses the same assests as wii games except less, so nintendont just redirects the calls, its not emulating the gc at all... people should read, everyone thinks nintendont is a gc emulator ...

Never said anything about Nintendont. The Wii U has native GC support but Nintendo turned it off, with home brew you can re enable it and using Nintendont as a loader for the games

There is nothing such as "native Gamecube support". It's relying on Wii mode to run Gamecube games.

Yep. It´s more like an Interpreter similiar to GBARunner2 for the DS.

Wii mode is not emulated though. It's being virtualised.
And the fun story about this is, Gamecube mode is being virtualised in Wii mode.

The Wii Family Edition has the same Hardware as the regular Wii underneath minus the GC Controller and Memory Card Slot.

it doesn't sound like it is possible but since the ps2 is old enough in thinking maybe we can get something out of it... I'm not asking it to emulate original Xbox games I know this thing is basically a PowerMac G3 im just trying to see if it can play anything other than Nintendo games

guys need to learn that it has nothing to do with how old a console is.

its how well coders can replicate the ps2 hardware in code for pc hardware, the ps2 is harder because it uses custom hardware by sony.

i think it will be a while before you see ps2 emulation and a good compatibility rate, why do you think sony ended its emulation support because it wasnt that great even on the ps3 with the emotion chip.

the wii u is not much better than the ps3 and its had more focus on the ps2 emulation side.

There is a lot more that goes into emulation than just raw power.

if you exclude hardware documentation availability from the problem, then i'd say the ps2 is the most complex system to emulate of those mentioned. (xbox, ps2, gamecube)
there's a lot more that needs to be emulated, and a lot more processors working in parallel that need to be synced up.
in emulation, the more things you need to sync up, the harder it is to emulate correctly.

Compatibility is not the best, but it can, can it not?
Just because its not perfect, doesn't mean it does not work.

You are most likely better off getting a pc to emulate ps2.

You have to modify the Dd drive to get it to read gc games
