My Google Now news feed always gives me the good stuff

Source from Kotaku

Twilight Princess and New Super Mario Bros have video of them running in "HD". Metroid Prime is said to be added.

Now what about the switch? I don't believe these are running on emulation and Nintendo probably didn't have much to do with the ports. This is just a result of the partnership with Nvidia. This doesn't prove that vc is coming but will give us a better idea of how it would run.

NVIDIA:

Extending the business relationship that brought NVIDIA technology to Nintendo Switch, some of Nintendo's most beloved Wii and Nintendo GameCube titles are officially headed to China for the first time. New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and PUNCH-OUT!! are remastered in 1080p and available on the China version of NVIDIA SHIELD, released today.

SHIELD owners in China will be able to download and play select Wii and Nintendo GameCube titles, with others coming soon – among them,Super Mario Galaxy. These amazing games have been provided to NVIDIA under license.
The key word here is remastered meaning that the games are probably being ported instead of emulated.

Wonder how the emulation is done, like, did they steal Dolphin's source code? :( Ports would make more sense and would run better.
I mean that's all assumption, really. Remember Nintendo Magic?

(Also they obviously and definitely didn't steal Dolphin's source code. They have the real shit at Nintendo

You misunderstood my reply. He stated that dolphin ran wii games at 40-60 on the Nvidia shield which is false.
I understood it. Probably would've helped if you hadn't omitted that info from your post. But also, I don't know enough about the Nvidia shield to argue that point. Even so, however, the Switch should be more than capable with the nintendo magic

Yeah, i should have been more clear with my original reply instead of just putting some videos there. I don't own a Nvidia shield myself.

What I think is most impressive is getting Mario Galaxy to run on the shield in hd. It struggles to run on dolphin and is far from playable

This makes me believe that these aren't being emulated but just ports if the original games. Super Mario Galaxy and NSMB makes use of motion controls often and I don't think the Nvidia shield controller has a gyroscope

Nintendo really know how to make an emulator though, VC games as an example. But they know their own system inside out so that's understandable

I beleive the controllers do have gyro but my feeling is they will just remap the controls like people are doing with the Wii VC games on the Wii U

Nintendo has Wii/GC b/c because of the WiiU using similar architecture. We don't have proof that Nintendo have a working emulator.
Dude... it's NINTENDO. The people WHO MADE THE GAMES. This is the silliest comment I've ever read. They eventually emulate all of their games' systems. C'mon dude. Think. THEY MADE THE GAMECUBE. They obviously would know how to code an emulator. Far better than the Dolphin team, also, because... Nintendo Magic.

I updated my op with new info. Nvidia has stated that these games have been remastered which probably means that these games are being ported and not emulated. All games are in 1080p.
Also, people can correct me but after some researching, there is no gyroscope on the Nvidia shield controller which makes sense because there hasnt been a need for it.

It's Android so you can probably dump it with an app backup tool and copy the additional data. The real question is what hardware will be able to run the games (besides the Shield), whether they need constant internet connection, and whether they'll only have Chinese text (though that last one is fixable since the games have all been out in English for years).
