When on the mobile Site, pop up ads show up, causing a new tab to open with one of those "congratulations!" B.s. spam things.

Please fix this, mods.

Thanks!

Edit by Costello: we are really sorry about this, we've recently changed ad providers and we specifically instructed them not to use any popup ads, these are the absolute worst. I have filed a complaint and this will be resolved shortly. I will update this thread when I hear from them. If you have a screenshot of the popup ads or URLs of the popup pages this would help, please PM them to me

In my opinion you should drop this ad supplier completely. It's all very well telling them not to use popups, but I still find it morally questionable to help continuing to fund any company that uses those kind of adverts (lies).

FYI the reply we've got from the ad company so far is:
- it's not supposed to happen but some manage to slip past their filters
- they're going to provide us with a user-report form where people can report such ads

I'm dissatisfied with the fact that they are unable to prevent this from happening and have to rely on user reports to block these.
I'm not sure if anyone is actually going to be willing to be submitting reports, much easier to just set up an adblocker to be honest.

I'd be more than willing to supply reports if necessary. I almost find it scummy of them to say they can't... I just can't see how they can't... but then again I'm not knowledgeable of this kind of stuff...

And it's not just some slipping through... it's literally every time I'm on this site, or rather, on a site provided by their company or whatever.

Whatever I can do to help in any way, please let me know!

I really appreciate the help, Costello! I appreciate you! (Happy Thanksgiving by the way!)

I have been using this site with a terribly outdated smartphone.
My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace and my browser of choice is Opera Mini.
I'm not sure why, but some sites gets ads blocked while some doesn't.
For instance, Browsing GBAtemp hasn't showed me any, ANY type of ad. Seriously.

While other sites prompts me with a special screen that says something like:
"We checked your browser. Please disable adblock to see this page"

And sometimes, when browsing the Internet, any site, opening a new tab redirects me to a completely full ad page, with no URL. Just the propaganda at plain sight all over my screen.

I haven't encountered a single ad here when using Opera Mini.
Nor while using Chrome in my laptop.

Adult sites:creep:

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can we report them to googles fake site thingy?
I think that would actually help. If they get flagged as harmful sites they might stop their shit? So yeah do that.

But still supporting a company that allows such deceptive ads on it's network... :(

That's what I was thinking too. But here's the thing, it's a huge company and they have an incredible amount of advertisers (which is why we've chosen them, the more advertisers, the higher the revenue) so they have to filter every ad that comes into their system. As it isn't humanly possible to filter everything, they use automated filtering tools. The only thing they can do is improve their tools, and they also use reports from visitors. They have made some promises but I'm not satisfied so we're still looking into alternative solutions. Will keep you tuned.

Or maybe... the reason that they can apparently offer much higher revenue than other providers is because they rely on deceptive adverts such as these to ensure they get higher click-through rates... ?
