Yes! - CFW allows home-brew and backup loaders

Rebut offers a few features not found in standard CFW take a look at the feature list that was shared earlier in the thread for specifics. Otherwise rebug supported DEX convert machines (retail to development) which enables most debug functionality of the PS3. Rebug teams solution is also the fastest and most stable method to convert between DEX/CEX/SEX (CEX being retail DEX being Debug and SEX being shop/demo) beyond that it has a few patches that aren't found in other CFWs and is cobra Enabled (no it doesn't need the dongle to work)

In simplest terms Rebug is the most advanced CFW out there and it has alot of custom user base features I think its required to use Webman(A backup loader that allows you to play games from the XMB)
Also allows you to use Cheat plugins ingame can activate cheats or disable them at will. Im just gonna say it Rebug is the best PS3 CFW

Yes, you can. You used to have to run Toggle QA to downgrade to a prior CFW version, but these recent ones shouldn't have that problem anymore.

You can program multi-core code to take advantage of the synergistic processing units of the Cell and have full access to the GPU. I'm assuming you do this after you get a CFW installed, first, correct? New to scene, is idiot, will learn.

yes, you can do the QA Flag option once in CFW.

1) First, you need to install the official firmware 4.82 (and only 4.82 !).
2) patch your NAND or NOR (depends your console's chipset version)
3) Once it's patched, you can install a CFW 4.82 (not lower).
4) Once you are on CFW 4.82, you are free to downgrade to another CFW version or keep the one you installed.
if you want to downgrade :
install the standalone QA Flag program, and launch it to "toggle" and enable that option (it's allows you to downgrade, among other things it unlocks). Once back on XMB after launching qatoggle, shutdown and reboot the console. Then install another CFW from any version.

I don't really get what you mean. You install ferrex and then qa flag and then install rebug. That's what i did and it works. I'm also a noob but i still got it working.
