From the black Friday ads I've seen the only deal available is botw being $50 instead of $60

You'll likely find some Switch games on sale. I expect Nintendo to have some digital sales on the eShop, too. Mostly for third party titles, I bet. Nintendo first party games rarely go on sale. The Switch is too new to be marked down anywhere, so don't expect below-MSRP Switch consoles. You might find some good deals on accessories like the Pro controller, though.

Oh, I thought the retail price was 399$, like in Canada.

$100 for a switch? Sounds like a scam. People did this 3 years ago with the ps4,xboxone,and wiiu. They would make fake listing on amazon for ps4's and xboxones for $90 on black friday then go to walmart,target,etc to price match them and get a new system for less than $100 or wiiu for $50

He thought it was a $100 discount on the Switch, not that it cost $100. The confusion is he's from Canada where the Switch retails at 399 Canadian dollars, but that's a US website listing the normal US price of $299. Which if that was 299 Canadian dollars, it would have been a $100 discount sale on the system. But that is not the actual case, the system itself will not be on sale like that this year.
