It turned out I was right, it's because of Avast... (I guess some other antivirus could do the same but there's no way I can test them all :/ )
I don't use it myself (and I would also recommend that you don't) but the culprit is this :

it completely screws up the detection.

I would recommend that you add Updater.exe to the exception list (make sure to add the program, not the shortcut).

About the save issue did you prepare the SD with USB Helper? Your nincfg file must be set to emulate a memory card.
Regarding the button mapping I'm not an expert with Nintendont but it should be possible in some way.

Yes I did prepare the SD with USB helper, where would that file be located on the SD card?
And I have changed the mapping on my wii's nintendon't which was in the config file so I just need to find that.

So disabling AVG did the trick, WiiU USB Helper ran, updated, and I reenabled AVG. Now it will still say there is an instance running, but it now allows me to override it and force it to run. I will probably add an exception so I don't need to do this, but it's working again. You can add AVG to the list of antivirus programs that interfere.

I got Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze to work. I just needed to delete everything in install and do a fresh copy. Now for some reason it black screens after the title, though. It's the only game that does it to me too lol.

got a problem with gamecube games injections. everything was working perfectly fine till yesterday, i was playing baten kaitos. game froze and i couldnt do anything except unplug ac adapter. now all my injected gcn gam es freeze right after initial wii screen after dics reader makes some noise like it was trying to read a disc. i did prepare sd card with wii u usb helper, as i said everything was working just fine till yesterday. any idea what might be the problem?

Sometimes you may want to install a game to NAND if it does not work on USB (or vice-versa).

Try preparing your SD card again as a new version of Nintendont might have been published.
Also, if possible, try with another sd card just to make sure the current one is not causing problems, which is sometimes the case.

Have been using USB helper for months without issue. Now states ERROR: JAVA IS NOT INSTALLED!

I've installed wii u usb helper, installed Java, reboot the PC. Still no dice.

Make sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions of Java.

Did you fix it already? If you did not, then it was just my USB drive acting up, I tried it again on a hard drive and only two bytes (0x018c and 0x018f) seem to differ - according to 3dbrew's article on NCCH the flags related to encryption, which are not cleared / set to no encryption with your tool like they are with GM9.

I've got 1.8.0_151 (latest version) installed (both x86 and x86_64) and it still gives me "Your Java Version is Too Old" when I try to use the GCN injections (Skies of Arcadia Legends and Rogue Squadron III, e.g.)

Try going to the control Panel then "Uninstall a program" and see if you can find it.

Then I delete it then what? I'm having the same error on Paint.net when I used it before AND when installing the discord app, I HAVE THE SAME ERROR.

You can have multiple versions of java installed and an old one selected by Windows to use. Rather than going through the java control panel applet and manually removing all versions just go into "programs and features" and uninstall everything that says java. Then download java and install it

Dumb question, I've been trying to get gamecube injections to work, some have worked fine, such as Mario Kart Double Dash and some others, but often times I either get a black screen with a console freeze, or the console shuts off after loading into vWii with no information given. Really want to play Melee. I tried loading the .iso into /games/ as well and running Nintendont on the vWii and it still refuses to run. Same thing with Eternal Darkness, Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and Kirby's Air Ride.

The program is great btw, for everything except gamecube games I haven't had a bit of trouble.

There is a bug I would like to report. For pokemon xd gale of darkness and mario sunshine there have been times when I know for certain I pressed save and the game says it saved, but when I turn off my wii u and come back to play again, my progress wasnt saved and my game is back to the last saved state I started on before. It doesn't always do this, its actually kinda rare. It only happened 4 times but its really annoying when it does because even if you save multiple times it can still never actually save.

Hey guys.
I tried to find the solution to what happens on my Wii U, I could not, even using the search in this topic and in others.

I can not run the injected NGC games. I had a first problem when trying to inject using the wi-fi RECodeV-X game, at 99% the application was in a loading state and nothing happened until the Wii U stopped responding, even showing the screen "connected" with the USB Helper.
I did the method of installing it directly on the SD, then use the WUP installer. Okay, installed.
But every game of NGC (after that I did test with others) he throws me to the black screen, shows the Wii logo, then restart the Wii U (NAND). I'm using Mocha and already tried installing nintendont, but it never started.
What am I doing wrong?
I have no idea if I skipped any step. I just installed the HBC, so I started the mocha. Other VCs work perfectly.
