Hardware Sold my PS4 Pro.Should i get Switch?

Hey all

I did something not sure if i made the right move almost reggretting it but thats because im not sure yet what to do..
Anyways i sold my PS4 Pro (my only console) because the plan was to get a switch with that money the reason is im rly not that into Sony and Its exclussives, all i play on it is doom and street fighter v and stuff but not any of the big exclussives like horizon or future games like God of war not interested tbh..
But i do love Mario,Zelda,Metroid etc..
Also doom is kinda dead online on PS4 on switch i heard Its pretty active and it Will Stay that way untill another big shooter hits the switch so thats a big plus in a huge doom fan.
At this point ill rather take the 30fps active version of doom VS a 60fps dead version because i love the multiplayer on it..

Anyway if i get the switch it be my only console but Its both handheld and console so thats cool too..
I did look at the one x but that one litterly had nothing i want and not only that i heard the console comes with dry thermal paste on almost Every single one of them thats horrible in few years if u dont change it it will overheat and get loud not to mention no games and also way more expansive..
I also dont want to rebuy my pro again so i guess my op my option is switch
But im curious what do you guys think is best for me for the things i like should i go for the switch?
Or get my pro back

upgrade the pc\build a pc ;O;
200FPS master race, free multiplayer etc etc etc, you can play wii u in it, and very lilkely switch if you give it some years etc etc etc

OP. does the switch has enough games you want to play to be worth the investment? seriously, don't get the switch based on "upcoming" stuff
or you know, keep the money and invest it to make more money\for emergency piggy bank?

Get the Switch!
I waited to get it, but i don't regret to it buying later, i was looking to buy the Splatoon pack, but ended up buying the console and splatoon seperate (there was no price difference in the store i bought it)
I don't regret it, Europe didn't even had the fance Splatoon joy-cons in it's pack (not here anyway).

First thing i did was buy decal's to protect the switch and a glass screen protector (not a plastic one) and an external case that just wraps around the switch itself (joy-cons not included) (for when my kids use it outside the stand)
I notice, we rarely play on the big screen, everybody loves to play it as a handheld. My PS4 sees way lesser playtime since i bought the Switch and Damned, mario Odessey is nice!

The only drawback is no CoD for Switch :/

Good call the Switch has some serious potential now all the big companies are focusing on the Switch so expect some really good titles in the future. My opinion the Switch will set the standards of gaming now, on the go so sitting down gaming will be something of the past so the Xbox & PS4 will only get worse and have to follow suit! I can guarantee the Switch has a very bright future ahead of it and the way Nintendo are selling it I'm betting there next generation will be something really special if not the Switch is already.

probably the best thing i ever purchased. and we live in an era where we got thunderbolts, can get an enclosure and use a desktop gpu externally in ya laptop

while i do see your point and you are probably right, i do have to point out that IMHO OP shouldn't get a switch based on upcomming or hoping for the future releases..
i mean.. we already (should had) learned several times that "pre-ordering" is a bad thing.. OP should get the console based if the current games available are good enough to keep him feeling it was a good purchase

i personally don't enjoy the switch and i really don't think it's a solid console\choice... but as there is plenty of people who seem to enjoy it i will not go like "switch is crap, don't buy it", so my advice is the one i already said before, if current titles are good enough to justify the purchase, go ahead.. but don't go like "10000 games are being developed to the switch" because when they are released, they might turn out to be a flop\switch getting the crapiest awfull version

I understand your point however I think you make a wrong decision. PS4 have a very strong 3rd supporting than Nintendo Switch. If you are into first party for Nintendo Switch ONLY then go for it.

I have PS3, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. So I am not selling PS3 and PS4 and never will. I am wise to keep them no matter what. Nintendo Switch is getting 3rd supporting slowly into 2018. So we shall wait and see. If you want to get Switch because you can't afford to keep both then go for it.

Thing is if i get the switch it be my only gaming platform since i sold my PS4 Pro to even get tje switch or i couldnt afford it so Its either my pro back or a switch in leaning towards the switch cause i enjoy Nintendo titles more..
Also i did rly like doom on the PS4 but the online was a bit dead..
You think the online Will Stay active on switch version? Cause Its the switch only Shooter...for now
But i seriously want some smash in the future but for now Zelda,Mario all that seems pretty good ultra sf2 seems fun as well as Pokémon/arms

Yeah im prob going to get it but like i said tho i sold my PS4 Pro to get the switch so switch will be my only game console that i have then but i do like the Nintendo line up of games more than PS4/Xbox tho so it might be worth it to just stick to switch and no PS4?

Just get second hand Wiiu and install homebrew and play The same zelda + many exclusive nintendo wii u games + wii games + gamecube games + emulators.
After 1 or 2 years get the switch coz that time the switch will have more games and even a homebrew.

Exactly this. The problem for the switch at the moment is that it's library of games is scarce. It's the very thing putting me off buying one. I would like one for Mario Odyssey, but I completed Zelda on the Wii U and it was fine. Other than that, there are a handful of multiplayer games and some 2d titles that have been out some time, but nothing to get me jumping up and down.

Can you really "unsell" your PS4 Pro?
I would have tried to keep it and get a Switch, or at least trade it for a standard PS4 + Money, and with that get a Switch.
The Switch is good anyway, it all depends on how much you want to play Nintendo games.
That said, I see a brighter future for games in the style of DOOM on the PS4.
