I think to increase awareness of the Bounty I'm going to embed it into my signature. Maybe another dev will see it and want to help.

EDIT: I found something Hygard (Developer behind PPSSPP) had wrote up when he was porting PPSSPP to UWP and he talked about some of the pitfalls and challenges

If this manages to happen aren't we just going to end up with potentially another unplayable emulator as ps1, n64 and ds are all unplayable at the minute, unless I'm doing something wrong?? Don't get me wrong id love dolphin but id want to be able to actually play the games.

N64 isn't "unplayable" at least not for every game. The problem with Mupen64 (Win64e10) is that it's intended to only work really well for a handful of N64 Games such as Mario 64, Zelda OOT etc. PS1 is getting Dynarec soon which will help speed it up greatly and I dunno if DS will improve or not tbh. As for the speed of Dolphin, we will just have to wait and see. We can't make assumptions until we have it running on actual hardware and are able to witness the results. I think alot of people are quick to jump to the immediate conclusion that Dolphin is going to be slow, or totally unplayable. There has in fact been past attempts at porting Dolphin to UWP by some in the Dolphin Community, and what I had heard is that performance is actually much better than what had been expected.

I'm just going to leave this here ^_^

I have multiple people telling me that the CPU is to weak, do you think it's going to be a problem?

Again, we will have to wait and see. Some games will suffer lag from the CPU having a low clock speed no doubt. However as was shown in my previous post some games as in the case of Super Mario Galaxy will run fine.

The impression I got from most people is that the xbox one can handle it if it is optimized well for it (like dynarec), did anyone try to mail the person who claimed he was able to run dolphin on xbox one. I think if you click on his profile picture, there is a link for an email to him

But if he did get dolphin to run at those speeds at 1080p thats good news for us :)

Plus with the Xbox dev update we could take advantage if Dolphin's DX12 backend ;)
Thats another good speed boost there..
when is that coming out? I thought it was already out lol

That's unfortunate, but not surprising at the same time
What does the funding target of $150 mean?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Thank you so so much!!
I've already asked wiired about this but do you know what the $150 funding target necessarily means on the bounty?

Put simply it means a developer has commited to working on the port once the bounty reaches $150. $100 left to go
