I have seen this adapter on other web shops and it said there that the micro USB port is only there to power the USB devices connected, it will not charge your phone (or power your SNESC).

From the article description:

The mini-slot for power supply is unfortunately not suitable for charging phone/ tablet.
both links are the same usb to go cable!
and when you would read what i wrote!
i have this cable and it work!

Yes, that is exactly what I am thinking. :glare:

Chill, that is not really the case. I appologize for whatever you're reading into my post.

I think people often just glance at things and the cables look rather similar. I wouldn't want to recommend a cable to people that says in the description that it wont charge. Your's might be a different make or the description might be wrong. I am only pointing out what the product description says. I bought the cable that I linked (with the switch) from another store for 1,84€ where it actually says that it'll charge the device and use the OTG ports if it's set to "charge", I just linked the amazon listing because it was the easiest to find quickly.

I confirm the new procedure is working ! USB pendrive succesfully recognized ! I used the OTG cable with switch. A switchless adapter was not working (console not turning on at all).

Some problems with launching games but I think it is a folder name error somewhere in the desktop file :)

Anyway DOSBox is working fine, no time to test an USB keyboard right now but i will :) :)

Thank you for your work guys !

Today I'm flashing another SNESC and while dumping the kernel, it gave me this error below and asked if I wanted to continue or not.
Does anyone know what this mean and why I'm getting this error? -

Warning!
Kernal dumped but the MD5 checksum is unknown:
9aa37654b6801a3c4b5af544f50c0830
Do you want to continue?

Please don't continue (yet).

Dump the kernel (Kernel/Dump Kernel), then *make a backup* of dump\kernel_snes.img, then install Hakchi2 (and say yes to the prompt), then make a dump of the decrypted NAND-B (Kernel/Dump decrypted NAND-B partition).

Please PM me when you've created the dumps and/or if you run into any trouble.

I had the same problem using originale kernel: if you install a Cluster's hakchi2 patched kernel + desired modules and then you add the new usb patch using the latest hakchi from madmonkey it should work. Summing it up: you need to install the .hmod modules before patching for USB support and to install them you need to patch the console with hakchi2.

Just tested an USB keyboard + USB flashdrive + DOSBox and... THEY WORKED ! We can use a keyboard to control DOSBox loading dosbox titles from USB :)

THANK YOU MadMonkey and all other people testing this !

I would like to test a lan adapter but no one here at the moment.

Yeah thanks I figured that out lol. So I got the modules installed ok, when I go into the retroarch executable to load them with the ps1 or Saturn core (The command line wasn't changed before they were moved toe the newer hakchi) the snes freezes. Should I have changed something in the desktop file to get them to be recognized by the modules?

No changes in desktop file for me but i did not test the modules you are talking about.
Oh ok, what did you test may I ask? I tried to put Mario pain on there and got the fun C7 error. I didn't have a lot of time to test everything out so I know there's still some kinks I gotta work out.

Dosbox works fine with keyboard support ! I launched Windows 3.1 and it worked fine with audio and imputs ! Genesis emulator works fine (genesis plus gx). I installed all other standard modules but no time to test them yet.

Tested also the "NES mini switch" but without success (maybe I forgot to add the module when patching with hakchi2, I honestly don't remember).
