Dragon Ball FighterZ trailer #3

Bandai Namco has put out a new trailer for Arc System Work's upcoming Dragon Ball Z fighting game. This particular video showcases the full currently known roster of characters, as well as some story segments and gameplay. The four minute video also announced that FighterZ will feature an "anime background music" DLC, which will allow players to have soundtrack pieces from the Dragon Ball/Z/GT anime play during fights. Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch in North America and Europe on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Yeah; I've seen all the character trailers along with a few game-play videos and while it looks 100X better the either XV I'm still worry it will become repetitive. I hope to be proven wrong.
It's a fighting game. While you do vary things depending on what your opponent is doing, usually you have some sort of "main combo" that's always a good option for dealing damage when you can get it off. The main thing that makes it fun is trying to react to your opponent, predict his moves, counter them, that sort of thing.

Anyone else feels that the combat looks really repetitive? While I do see a lot of cool moves I also see a lot of the same moves spammed over and over again.
I played the beta. And I mean, I really enjoyed it and I just shrugged it off as I don't know many combos or I suck at fighting games, but this is indeed what I experienced, it can get a bit repetitive after a while.

That fighter lobby thing reminded me of the movie adaptation of the Cell Games. You know when a bunch of little people dressed in the costumes and had huge heads. That was really funny. Still looking forward to this game.

Anyone who is doubting the gameplay of this game will have to wait for the game to get into everyone's hands so we can see what the game is capable of at a higher level of play. After release give the game about 2 to 3 months to get somewhat fleshed out and there will be a difference in what people see.

I've seen the pro matches and it does look repetitive, at long range all characters has ki blast/lasers, they do zoning and mid range they'll try this dash thingy and do combo, 2-3 hits and then a gatling punch then ends with ki blast, enemy gets blasted away and the cycle repeats.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
