Hi, I have a homebrew hacked 3DS on 11.6-39U and I stumbled across the sky3ds plus flash cart and I was wondering, should I be patient and wait for free-shop to be available or should I buy a sky3ds plus?

Thanks!

Why do you need to wait for free shop? If you are going pirate way just use fbi and that titlekey site

Edit: when you said homebrew hacked 3ds, do you mean cfw right? or nah?

No, I first homebrewed (is that a term?) my 3ds on 11.5 which means as of now cfw isn't really possible.

Yes it is. Buy an r4i gold 3ds rts. That lets you easily get cfw, lets you play nds roms, and is $60 less.
where can I buy one? I tried NDS-Card but it's a PAIN to pay them, you have to email them to ASK what their paypal is and hope and pray that they find out it's you and ship the item. Though I need to make sure the flash cart is real (because hacking bricks counterfeits)

Nds-card is absolutely a reliable site. You have to email them to get their paypal because paypal bans flashcart sites. However, they are completely legit, and you can trust them.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

also they never sell fake cards

Do you have any other sites in mind? since it's coming from Hong Kong it might take 1 1/2 months which is kind of ridiculous.

NDS-Card has very good support. Their English is quite funny, but they get the job done, just get a R4 Gold off of them, with Paypal. Also when it comes to shipping just get Hong Kong Registered Air Shipping (With Tracking#), I know it costs an extra 3 bucks, but it is more reliable then the free option, and is way cheaper then UPS and FedEx

Pay for the express shipping if time is an issue.

I just purchased an R4i Gold 3DS RTS from NDS-Card, the order was under the name "Jacob" but the payment was under "Anthony" (my dad) but they have the same shipping address, last name, postal code etc. Would the first name change cause any issues?
Thanks!

No, it wouldn't, and if it did they would inform you. Nds-card is very good about communicating with customers about payment and shipping.

should not be an issue . . . and even if it is nds-card will still come through for you (or at least for "anthony") . . . and nds-card has a good track record for shipping errors (i have never read about one that they did not resolve)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
