Today I have installed CFW on my old 3ds suceesfully with ntrboothax. But when I want to restore my R4i Gold RTS card that my 3DS detect the card again and I can play DS Games on it, there occur an error message. When I choose "Restore Flash" there stands: "Restore file was not found. Press A to return to the main menu."
Then I´ve try to dumb Flash this was suceesully and then it was possible to restore Flash. Then stands there Restoring complete! But when I power off my 3ds and turn it on again he doesn´t recognize my R4i Card. Can anybody help me. (I hope you can understand my thread)

Because you dumped "flashed" flash of the card. You have to dump flash, when your card is in stock state. I think you can download that backup somewhere. Section V

And what can I do now that the R4 card detected again. When I choose restore flash there works but when i reboot my console to the home menu the r4 card will not be shown

Did it remove your CFW when you reflashed the R4 card?

It wont, the flashcard has nothing to do with cfw once installed. Its all saved to the console information itself. System formats wont even touch CFW once its installed.

I know Im a little late but a solution I found to the same situation is to rename the "backup.bin" file to the name of the file given after dumping flash. In my case, I had to rename the "backup.bin" file to " r4isdhc-backup.bin ". Hope this helped.
What do you mean by 'the name of the file given after dumping flash'? I've been trying to restore flash for the past few days following on 3ds hacks guide but every time I try restoring flash it says restore file not found, so I the dumped flash (which is successful) there is no file name and then I can select restore but it starts reading only to fail afterwards. Not sure what I should be doing :/ I've made an ntrboot folder on the root of my SD card and tried a load of diferent backup.bin files and none work. I used a r4 3ds rts and r4 sdhc dual core

the 0.4 version of ntrboot_flasher changed the filenames needed, no longer backup.bin

but cardname-backup.bin

Code:
Ace3DSPlus-backup.bin
ak2i-backup.bin
DSTT-backup.bin
R4iGold3DS-backup.bin
r4isdhc-backup.bin

I have the same problem. I have an R4i SDHC Gold Pro 2018 and when I try to restore it says "Restore file not found". So I dumped it and restore it again but it didn't restore and it said an error occurred. Please respond as soon as possible so I can restore it an use the flashcard.

Check the name of the file that you are using as a "recover file" it must be named as r4isdhc-backup.bin. Sometimes it is just named as backup.bin so the system won't find it....oh and check if you are using the recover file for the right r4.

Use the backup file from the guide and name it correctly.
