@wicksand420 I think you didn't get notified, but here is the response:
I can't tell.
The h2testw said only 7.5GB from the written files was OK, the rest it says was corrupt, but I opened up the SD and it still had a lot of 1GB files written there after running the Scan/Fix tool, up to 55.h2w were still full 1GB files, starting from 56 they all had different values.
I am inclined to say that it might be either a 16 or 32 GB card, because I get the corruption problem before hitting 56GB of written data into it.

with that program you used to check it, select to format and make it the same size it told you was real at the end of the test, is it not possible to get your money back for the card?
What I'll try to do is format the SD to reduce the size to 1/2 of it each time, then trying to copy all my files back, and so on and so on until I hit the sweetspot for the size.
I'm doing a 64GB try now, let's see how this goes.
As for the money, I could... Perhaps?
I just decided to go for a legit 64GB card now, I didn't lose that much money over the 128GB one anyway, like 15-20 dlls tops.
Just wanted to test my luck out with it lol, looks like I haven't learned a thing from the shit luck I usual have in life xD

let me know how your test goes, as for the money, its a principal thing, these people shouldn't be ripping people off with fake sd cards, and letting them keep the money is a win for them.

Where did you buy the SD card originally? Is there no way to get a refund or get revenge on the dumbass that sold you the card? I'm sorry you got gypped, dude >.>

Sure, I'll let you know what size was the sweetspot. As for the money, well... (continue reading)

I got the card off the internetz.
I don't feel bad at all about getting ripped, I was kind of expecting it to be honest.
It was one of those circumstances where I ask my own self... "Do you feel lucky?"
Well, guess I didn't

I don't feel like pursuing the money back, it wasn't much as I said, but I will for sure leave a bad review and rating for others to see.
Besides, I don't think this thing would all go to waste, I can still salvage something out of it and perhaps give it to a relative or something once I get the sweetspot working, or perhaps keep it for myself for some other reasons.

Next payment I will go for a legit Sandisk 64GB card, I just reviewed all the files I wanted to copy over and they all seem to be around 56GB, so a 64GB one should do it. I want to keep all my games in a MicroSD for RetroArch, Nintendont with Gamepad controls and for when the Switch RetroArch port arrives too :P

Help needed here guys, apologies for the repost, but I think my original post got a bit lost. I'm still struggling to install the retroarch channel from the OP.

I'm trying to install the Retroarch channel to nand, using WUP installer GX2, but it keeps failing with the message "Verify WUP filers are correct & complete. DLC/eshop require Sig Patch"

Have I missed a step somewhere along the way? Haxchi and HBL are working fine, and I'm sure I have the files in the correct location on my SD:

sd:/install/0005000010102172/

You need to enable sigpatches before installing it. Unless you are running CBHC it's actually more hassle to use the channel so just stick with HBL

For you guys who are on the fence about cold boot haxchI I did it and didn't brick and I am terrible at everything. I print off directions and mark them off one by one. It takes like 5 more seconds to boot than normal.

Thanks bootmaster. I've no intention of upgrading to CBHC, so HBL it is. Thanks!

thanks marduk but I'm too heavily invested in the wii u library, and my kids would disown me if the worst did happen. HBL is fine for my needs!

No thanks.
I'd rather wait until a proper boot hack has been released, I don't want something that upon format can brick the Wii U.
