Ace3ds team just released a new card-called Ace3DS X : http://ace3ds.com/ace-3ds-x-product.html
It has a switch to switch from 3DS mode and DS mode.
In 3DS mode, it is pre-flashed NTRBOOT and supports installing boot9strap on all 3DS consoles models & versions
In DS mode, it is the same as ace3ds plus and supports nds games

That switch looks really flimsy -- like it was cut out with a knife. I guess it's more convenient that flashing between DS and ntrboot modes though.
Wish someone would just clone the ak2i with a better fitting shell and update its bootloader for 11.6.

Very good idea, does they have free promotion giveaway? :rofl2:
I honestly don't think they'll do that.
The r4i-b9s contest seemed to blow up in that team's face. They lost a good reseller in nds-card.com over it.

No, i installed cfw for free and have a old r4i, I understand completely, but don't see a need to pay for something you can already do for free.
You can't use NTRboot for free. You always need A flashcard. Might as well be a flashcard that's toggleable between NTRboot and normal usage with an easy switch. Rather than reflashing which will eventually brick the device.

So you had an NTRBoot-compatible flashcart. Congratulations. Not all people do, you know. That is where this might be useful. Assuming the price is decent, it will be more convenient than flashing it yourself.

so, in the past they had 2 chip inside the card, one chip for one 3DS game and one chip for DS flashcart.
now they made 2 chips for DS flashcart, one is flashed for NTRboot and one is for DS games, is that right?

Nobody knows, but it sounds a logical way to do it.

I expect this will cost a bit more than a regular Ace3DS Plus, since it has extra hardware in it, not too much more though.
It's a good idea and far better than R4i-B9S, I just wish it wasn't Ace3DS. r4ids.cn should do their own variant.

Looks like a standard switch that's soldered directly onto the board, it should be sturdy enough.
