Nintendo Increases SNES Classic Inventory, NES Classic Returning to Stores

SNES_Mini_Box.jpg

The NES Classic was a monumental success when it released last year. Originally it was a "limited edition" product, and the number manufactured was relatively low. Scalpers tore into them, sometimes selling them for over $500 on various auctions sites as they were sold out everywhere. Well, those unlucky few who didn't manage to nab a NES Classic can rejoice; Nintendo is manufacturing and shipping more NES Classic's to stores in 2018!

Along with this news, Nintendo also announced that the inventory for the SNES Classic is also being increased to help avoid the same scalping situation as last year.

Due to incredible demand for the upcoming Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, Nintendo plans to ship the retro-inspired product into 2018. Originally, shipments were announced to cease at the end of this calendar year.
...
Next summer, Nintendo will also bring back the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system with new shipments. More information about the timing of the return of NES Classic Edition will be announced in the future.

Is Zsnes not suitable for their task?

Zsnes has so many emulation issues, off timing, crashing in Super Mario RPG, Snes9x is more than enough. Star Fox runs too fast on Zsnes, same with the second one.
Earthworm Jim 2 has 90% of the sound missing, I could me a thread or blog about why it needs avoiding.

I did however say their task, not the task of something with an accuracy fetish.

Snes9x isn't cycle accurate, I just said Zsnes is pretty much garbage tier emulation. Games should at least play properly and not run too fast. Sure if people have a thing for playing on an emulator that's been dead for almost 12 years and not even devs support, I guess.

Old games are clunky, people play flash games and games on phones/tablets which adopted the release early and update a lot model (one that a lot of potential from where I sit but that is a different discussion). Zsnes would achieve the goal of playing said old games though.

That's fucking disgusting that cex are in on the scalping too. Why Nintendo can't just flood the market to begin with is wrong. Even if they have to hold back on a release date would be fine. Loads on eBay going for double the price too. I seen one for sale for 400 quid and I just fell like messaging the seller calling them a c@#t
