Yes the PowerTag key algorithm is not fully understood so we can only use predetermined key. I think we can still randomise it to 6 different UIDs but it wasn't as high priority.

The fact that a rewritable tag can be had for quite a cheap price meant I wanted to get this out even with the limitations.
Ah, I see. Yes, it's still good for use with things like Smash Bros or unlocking content in games, just not for repeated use with games that have daily limits.

Did you download the Amiibo bin files? Each Amiibo has it's own bin file, it's like a backup image from the Amiibo.

The download package would of came in a compressed zip or rar file, then you have to use a third party file manager to extract the files from the zip/rar. When you extract the contents of the zip or rar, you will see a folder with ALL the bin files, they will probably be in thier own folders inside the main folder.

I cannot give you specifics on where to download anything, because GBATemp doesn't allow that on here. So you will have to do your own Google search.

Mods/Staff: If I said to much, I apologize, you may remove this post if I did.

In tagmo there should be a way to browse for the folder where the bin files are located.

Can we rewrite tags? Sorry for noon question but it's the first time using Tagmo and Ntag215. I just don't want to keep buying tags if it's possible or if it's possible later down the road. Even if somehow there's a better hack/ way to make them without buying anything extra. Like there could somehow get the ammibos to work directly via fbi or the switch when it's modded/hacked.

ok thanks for letting me know. Any sellers you guys can recommend buying from? the person I was going to buy from were $5 for 5 tags but he had no returns so didn't trust that plus lots of negative and bad feedback.

Is there a way to make the app act as the amiibo tag for the purpose of read only use in games like breath of the wild?

There is a experimental feature in the latest version which let you use the "PowerTag" tags (which are meant to be used with powersaves) directly as a rewritable tag. They are reletively cheap so you might want to try that.

What are the differences between a PowerTag and a NFC tag? Is there any limitation, do you need a powersave too? Is it simply a reusable NFC tag that acts like a normal one, except it can be rewritable ? thanks :)

Just read the last pages, ah, so it can't be used multiple times a day with games like BotW ? :/

PowerTag is a NFC tag but with the ability to write to any page even after it's locked (it has a secret key which let you reset it). PowerTag is not 100% identical to a legitimate NFC tag but so far atleast those differences are not checked for by Amiibo readers (might change in the future).

The implementation in TagMo does not require you to have a PowerSaves device. See https://github.com/HiddenRamblings/TagMo/wiki/PowerTags---PowerSaves-Support

It can't be used multiple time a day as yet. But I have a plan to let it do that to a limiated amount, like 6-8 times per day.

OK thanks. I'm going to do that. Can you send me a link to the right tags I can buy?

The new metroid amiibos show up as unknown when scanned. is this because they are new and the app needs to be updated? they do show the image of it and that it's from metroid....

OK so all we need to do for the powertag is to check it and we can use it and make rewritable ones? Just want to double make sure before I try making one with the only powertag I got
