Not sure if this was asked before, but why does every theme's bgm cuts out right before it starts to loop?
I used Howling's Theme Tool before this and it worked really nice.

Yes, it's been asked before - many times, some in this very thread - and as far as we know, the bug affects all modern theme managers (Anemone, Themely, CHMM2). Howling's creates theme DLC, something that we don't, which is likely why it works where Anemone doesn't.

If you can find a theme that doesn't do what you're describing in Themely's shuffle, yet does in Anemone's, astro will try to fix it.

It is otherwise, as far as we know, not an Anemone bug but a Home Menu bug - that is, blame Nintendo.

I'm also getting problems that a few other people have had, but the suggested fixes aren't working for me.

Whenever I try installing a theme I get the "Exception occurred" screen. My 3DS had Menuhax but I recently did a full format of my SD card and reformatted the 3DS then installed boot9strap. Everything else works fine except installing themes. I tried changing the default themes before installing, and tried deleting the extdata folder stuff, but am still getting the same error. Is there anything else I can try?


Edit: I removed all the themes on the SD card except for one that I'd already tried, and then tried installing it with CHMM and it worked. Then I removed it and tried with Anemone again and now that works fine too. I think I used CHMM with Menuhax, so if anyone's having the same problem maybe that will help..

I don't know if this is my SD card's fault but for some reason all my themes were deleted at one point. Also when installing themes, the bgm just cuts out for no reason. But otherwise great progress.

Make sure the BGM file isn't over 3 MB.

Just downloaded it with QR. Didn't get the error message but froze my 3ds. Black screen on every new start up. Had to take my SD card off its slot to start on sysnand. Then reinserted my SD and delete the file. Tried it a second time, same thing.
Stay away from that theme. There is something wrong about it.

Great being able to add themes by QR code. But unfortunately theme shuffle causes the bgm to not loop.

weird, the qr code download is not working for me, i scan the qr, the screen says downloading but when it finishes and it goes back to the app the themes is not there it wasn't downloaded, and it even crashed once

I solved the problem by delete the theme in sysnand mode without the sd , but i'm still piss off

Yep, I see this bug today. I've always have my /Themes and /Splashes folders on the root, but the ThemeManager doesn't recognize them.
@astronautlevel I do not want to press you too much, but I do not know if you are aware of this bug.

EDIT: Scan QR Code doesn't work, too.

I'm really looking forward to the themeplaza browser. Still, 3dsthem.es has a lot more themes but I'm too afraid to use Themely since it became closed-source, and I can't use the QR Scanner function since my 3DS's right camera broke (only the left one works)
