How To Recover From A Bad FPGA Flash
1) Get the USB Image Tool. See this thread for details:
http://k3yforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=489
2) Backup your current SD card
3) Restore xk_erase.img to your SD card
4) Insert the SD card
5) Boot your system. After 2-3 seconds the blue LED will tell you if the erase succeeded.
-Solid LED = Success, got to step 6
-Fast flashing LED = Fail, repeat step 5
-Slow flashing LED = check SD card is properly fitted / rewrite image and repeat step 5
6) Restore your SD card from the backup you made in step 1
7) Boot you system. The remote will display the message "Bad FPGA"
8) Update XKey with fpga.vme. This should take around 3 minutes. If it finishes very quickly and the remote still displays the "Bad FPGA" message after a reboot the repeat from step 6 (You will not be able to repeat the FPGA update until you restore your SD card image)
Q:
Hello, Try to fix it according to the tutorial my xkey, does not detect the reader or in "invisible" mode, the tray does not open when I turn it on from "Eject",
On the xbox screen, in the tray icon instead of "open Tray" appears only the phrase "reading", after 2 minutes the phrase changes to "Open Tray"
that brings my Xkey brings a green dot.
I hope it solves my problem
