I've read the wiki page, and I'm not sure to really understand everything
so please, in simple word, what will it do for end users like me

homebrew?
piracy?
cfw?
hbl application on home menu?
update without losing access to piracy/homebrew?
what exactly?

Homebrew

No piracy though, but it could allow another exploit in the future that allows higher access.

It will also allow emulators.

Essentially just the homebrew loader on 3DS (the smea one)

Eventually, and probably not too long after it's publically released, I'm sure backup loaders will be a thing. It happened fast with the Vita.

Also, it's based upon the exploit Gateway took advantage of to run backups, so it's not
latest
at all to say that piracy will come very early on with this exploit, as well as custom firmware. I highly doubt it'll be limited to "just homebrew" as the others here are stating...

The smhax will do nothing.
Software used to take advantage of the session manager flaws, for entry point access, can potentially do anything that in turn could lead to homebrew and piracy bla bla bla. The smhax is just a flaw that can lead to multiple back doors into the system and nothing more.

2018 = Homebrew, save editing
2019 = Piracy

Waiting isn't worth for me.
Since it's confirmed that we already have game dumping in multiple forms (decrypted, raw, etc) I would be surprised if it took long after getting homebrew to get piracy. Even if it's similar to Wii u where we loaded decrypted games that didn't have full access to everything making online play impossible along with not supporting every game, it will likely be worked on shortly after homebrew comes out, if not before.

As far as i understand the loader would only work with pre 3.01 games since newer ones have diffrent encryption keys

Anyway, to those comparing switch wjth ps3, saying exploit might ever be on lower firmware, the nintendo hacking community is far more bigger than sonys, so more dev means more chance of finding exploit

well why can't there be some thing like the 3ds where you can have hacks and be on the lasted firmware

That would require a boot exploit or some way to reintroduce bugs into a newer fw and then installing that. Or maybe like the older 3ds days of using updated emunand with something that isn't in the boot process but shortly after like menuhax.

If you mean the magnet hack, its a hardware exploit, which is extremly rare from what i know, i doubt we will find one on the switch anytime soon, and maybe there are none
Hardware exploit cant be patched but when nintendo design their console, they look for these kind of exploit mainly, which makes them a lot more rarer than software exploit which they care less about because they can patch them later

really people only want piracy on the switch because they don't want to have to buy all the games

Yeah the flash chip can be removed unlike the 3ds and they likely done that so no one would do any thing like ntr boothax again

Ntr boothax was launched publicly post switch, i doubt they fixed it because of it, unless they found it long before the release of the hax

thing is the flaw existed in the 3ds because the flash chip can't be removed easily and they needed a way to unbrick abricked 3ds. The switch's chip can be removed so they can just swap it out for a new chip.

Alright, whats the utility of that chip? Are you talking about the nand?
Maybe we might build a mod chip and replace it?
Explain please

Oh do you mean its an intentional flaw and ninty just'' hoped'' no one finds it?
