Actually, looking around online and on Nintendo's official support page, it seems like it's still available on the Wii itself as well.
My whole point of bringing it up in the first place is that free online stuff will come and go, but online purchasing venues will last until they stop making a profit. It just seems kind of silly to theorize on something that's most likely not going to happen for several years.
But I guess with Miiverse itself there isn't too much to discuss since... Idk. How many people even used it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's gonna feel a little weird now to collect Miiverse Stamps in games like Super Mario 3D World when you can't use them anymore. But well, I never used them anyway to be honest.

I also thought it was silly that you couldn't use stamps when you normally logged in to Miiverse, you always had to access it from within the game the stamps belonged to.

hey who knows they might release a new online chat program for nintendo switch online that way we'll be finally able to use stamps on it as well and send it to our friends while playing the nintendo switch

So... In order to prevent everyone's Miiverse account getting deleted... They're shutting the whole thing down... Which is essentially the same thing?...
Do you actually believe this?
The claim is a little BS, but hey it worked for Swapnote innit?

Then I just hope Nintendo pushes a fw update to get rid of the miiverse icon, I just hate it when you have things that don't work anymore showing up on your device, kinda like the ps store icon on the psp.
Downgrade your launcher to the good old 6.x or earlier ones (on o3ds only of course), or region change to Taiwan :D

Can confirm on a 4.3E Wii console that it is still available there.
As for Miiverse I never used it on my now dead 3DS, just thought it was pointless...

here Hi there nis america a hacker by the name MRNbaYoh found a way to put homebrew on rpgmaker fes player and has now released it to the public and many other hackers are uploading the hack itself on rpgmaker fes player take a look at it for yourself if you don't believe me https://mrnbayoh.github.io/rpwng/ its this hackers fault that why miiverse is shutting down:angry:
Hi, you must be new here. Exploits are a good thing. Also, homebrew and miiverse are unrelated.

I'm sure at some point in the not-so-near future it will, but that'll be years from now. Even the original Wii Shop Channel is still up and running. If it makes them money, don't count on it going away too soon ;p
(And hopefully by then we'll have all the games dumped safely for preservation's sake)
DSi eShop is down.

yes but its a virtual console channel and its emulated
vWii isn't emulation. And Wii Shop is still fully functional on original Wii systems too

Probably they won't remove it, Nintendo Zone icon is still there

By that logic, Nintendo should also remove the internet browser because of browserhax.

By that logic, Nintendo should remove Themes from the Homemenu, since that's exploitable too! :P

When you buy a New 2DS XL just to find out an hour later Miiverse is shutting down. It's gonna look plain without Miiverse on the Home Menu

The icon will still be there. At least you won't have the default messages all the time on Wii U in WaraWara Plaza after it closes.

actually there's also another thing about why it was shut down i'm thinking of asking them to make a program for the switch where you can make an official fan made game with all sprites and models even pokemon ones

Wii U online multiplayer will be taken down before the end of the year. Mark my words.

Time for an archive project while there's still time?
If anybody with web knowledge is interested:
- You can list all communities per region using offset=x.
- page_param controls community data:
|- reftime: linux timestamp, from where to start fetching posts.
|- order: asc,desc
| -per_page: how many posts to fetch. Anything above 100 make requests REALLY slow. Take care.
- You can retrieve older posts ( if they exist) from before miiverse update data loss in july 2015 by adding a /old to the community url.
