Eh, but the burn in risk, IDK, AMOLED would be better.

On that same note, people on here consistently defend Sony and Microsoft as if they were infallible.

Until i see a Xbox 240 portable the can suck a fat >>>>>>>> D

Plus any other screen in the Switch and it would literally die..

No, I meant the other two as well; both are pretty hostile for people who like Nintendo.

Hostile? No. Hard to respect someone who only offers negative opinions and venomous hostility toward people that don't agree with him. That's neither here nor there.

Switch with OLED would be much more expensive.
Anyway, if the company does bankrupt, then expect even more Switch shortages than before while new contracts are made with other companies

Wondering if Ninty already has a backup.

Cool, now Nintendo can go fight Apple for OLED screens from Samsung so there can be even fewer switches coming off the assembly line!

Nintendo would likely just get a new screen, and not even make it known that anything had changed. Pretty much just like 3DS and all the different combinations of the lower and top screens having IPS and/or TN displays, despite Nintendo never actually drawing attention to the fact that the 3DS can come with screens of differing qualities for both the top and bottom screens.

Despite all the issues and cost, everyone seems to be moving towards oled. (Which, of course, will make them cheaper.) At some point, Nintendo and other companies wouldn't even have a choice.
Edit: if they do bankrupt, expect to see a "Home only" Switch console with better cooling and a slight overclock for smoother gameplay
Other than maybe the overclock, this is probably going to happen either way.

I really doubt this is going effect Nintendo much. Probably looking for another company as we chat.

Honestly? This just means they'll have to find a new supplier. Wonder if this also means revamped production? Hm.
Nintendo has historically had the mindset of using a single supplier for certain parts. For example, all of their optical drives for GameCube, Wii, and Wii U are manufactured by Matsushita (Panasonic).

Compare this to e.g. the original Xbox, which had optical drives from Thomson, Philips, Samsung, and Hitachi.

Granted, they did start multi-sourcing some parts with the 3DS. (eMMC is either Toshiba or Samsung) Unfortunately, they either didn't realize the IPS vs. TN problem, or they were doing some sort of ridiculously poorly-planned A/B testing.
