if you've read some of my blogs, you'll know I have an uncle who is VERY sick, but lately he's been taking some risks, first and foremost is that he's interested in a drug called Arterin, which is supposed to really help with heart help, but after doing some research on the company that distributes it, Medix Select, I've found that their reputation isn't all that great. so does anyone know anything that could help me ? I don't want to dash his hopes for nothing. but at the same time, I don't want to feel like an idiot if it turns out it can actually help him.

You should be able to get a second opinion from another doctor.
all of these aren't doing anything, his only option is a lung transplant, which isn't available until your at crtical levels around here, all the doctors can do is try to help him stabilize his health with a healthy diet and so on. but he seems interested in trying to improve it, and i'm wondering if this can actually do anything.

ok, so here are his options. He could wait, and get the transplant. He could also take that med, and try to delay the inevitable, as the med isn't a fix, just a slow-down. however, the med could have consequences that would reduce his chances of a successful transplant, or possibly de-qualify him all together.

personally, I would avoid the med.

He should probably do what his doctor said. The doctor should know the side effects and whether they are worth the improvement the drugs provide.

Is his doctor trash because he can't do what you want, or trash because he's actually incompetent.
People tend to get those mixed up. Doctors aren't magical healers. Some things cannot be fixed with a miracle cure.

his doctos doesnt know shit, and let me explain the whole transplant thing. to even qualify to be put on a LIST for transplant, you have to be in crtical condition, then someone has to die and donate their organs, which in turn have to be compatible with you..long story short..i aint happening.

his doctor is trash. he didn't what the hell was going on in the first place, had to go to a specialist, and see, the thing is...Pulminary Fibroses in 100% uncureable.

Then you should go to another doctor. Medicating yourself using your own judgement is worse than taking the advice of a bad doctor. At least the bad doctor went to medical school and knows something, you know absolutely nothing.

Always visit more than one doctor, can always use second opinions. :P
been there, done that, the conclusion ? All of medical science seems to agree it's uncureable, and any treatments are only delaying it's affects on him, but with no chance of a Lung transplant in sight, anything will have to do.
