Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney coming to 3DS

image.png

For those wondering if the mobile remaster of the fourth entry into the Ace Attorney franchise would get a 3DS port, wonder no longer, as Capcom has officially announced it. Releasing sometime in November of this year, the game's release on Nintendo's 3DS means that all mainline Ace Attorney games can by played on that system.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney coming to Nintendo 3DS means that budding attorneys can see all the courtroom action from Apollo’s early days as a defense attorney in upgraded 3D graphics. Forensic investigation techniques play a vital part in analyzing the evidence to help solve some of the game’s mysteries. Utilizing the features of Nintendo 3DS, players can dust some crime scenes to search for fingerprints and also examine certain objects in a full 360 degrees to uncover hidden evidence! Will the fingerprints match any of the suspects on file and uncover new truths?

These investigation techniques combined with Apollo Justice’s magical bracelet that gives him the unique ability to detect lies during witness testimonies create a thrilling investigative journey.

If we was going by japanese standards which don't use character names in the title but just use standard numeric title then it make more sense, but dumb localization people just can't be normal for once and follow suit. Yes the name of the character gives off who is the protagonist but what is wrong with numeric titles? So people can distinguish the main series from spinoff or sub series. Ace Attorney 2, Justice for all. Ace Attorney 3, Trials and Tribulations. Ace Attorney 4, Apollo Justice.
Don't forget when companies pull that whack move where they just use their first game's name again.

Like:
Prey --> Prey (2016)
Sonic the Hedgehog --> Sonic 2 --> Sonic 3 & Knuckles --> Sonic CD --> ... --> Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)

I agree, too many series forego numbering in favor of "clean" titles.

It only mentioned E-Shop in the press release. No Ace Attorney games have been physically released lately anyways afaik.
Will it have Japanese text along with the English? Only reason I'm asking is because I imported the Japanese Ace Attorney Trilogy and it had English in it.

That awkward moment when you are so used to hacking the s**t out of your device that you forget that it already had backwards compatibility.

Apollo Justice gets way too much crap for no good reason. The only people who don't like it are salty and can't get over the fact you don't play as Phoenix. Its probably my personal favorite I think it has the best overarching narrative in the series. Also it has amazing graphics and the smoothest pixel animation I've ever seen.

Will definitely be buying this. Thanks, Capcom.

It's the one I liked less of the series, but it's still a good game (and is followed by two great title, AA 6 being my favorite AA with the 3 and AAI2). Good thing it got on the 3DS :)

Hopefully they'll bring over the other games, like the ones unreleased in the west. Now that would make everyone really happy

With The Great Ace Attorney, I feel like they've realized they wrote themselves into a corner with the whole "Japanifornia" thing and their answer is "too much effort to fix it now". Investigations 2 is probably based on the sales of the first in the USA (maybe Edgeworth isn't as popular here?) or on the sales of the second in Japan.

I don't think the Japanifornia was crucial... More likely Conan Doyle's heirs were asking too much for copywright. Although they can't reach Japan, they put their filthy hands on every single Western Sherlock movie made, including those with Downey and Cumberbatch recently.
