Inti Creates, the developers of Blaster Master Zero, a remake of the original Blaster Master game for Nintendo Entertainment System by Sunsoft announces that there is currently a total of over 100,000 downloads of the game on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS Eshop combined. To celebrate this occasion, they have posted on their website free wallpapers to commemorate this occasion.

Blaster Master Zero has cleared more than 100,000 downloads! Enjoy an adorable new wallpaper!

In only five short months, you wonderful people have propelled Blaster Master Zero over the 100,000 download milestone! Thank you so very much for your support! With the upcoming release of Shovel Knight on August 3rd, and with our other plans in the pipeline, we are still working very hard on making Blaster Master Zero as awesome as it can be. In the meantime, enjoy this absolutely adorable wallpaper that takes a peek into the everyday lives of Jason and Eve!

There is also a wallpaper commemorating 80,000 downloads as well as two more for the launch of the game in Japan and Internationally. The link source has the included web page with the thank you message and the available wallpapers in two optional sizes of 1920X1080 and 1600X1200.

If you still haven't played the game yet, a demo is on Eshop for both Nintendo Switch and 3DS. The game is $9.99 and includes dlc for characters including Azure Striker Gunvolt, Gal Gun Double Peace's Eroko, Shante, the Half Genie Hero, and Shovel Knight. Each extra character DLC is $1.99 and upon each release had received a 2 week trial period of being free to obtain until is reverted to paid DLC.

For more information about the game, please see the official trailers in the spoiler tag, or you can read my review of the game here on this website using the link below. :)

That game reminds me somewhat of Contra for unknown reasons.
That means it's instantly a must buy for me.

They're a small company right? It's actually rather heart warming to read news like this, the kind of story to make you do a fist bump and yell "Yeah, go on!" Great for them.

Well I guess, indie status is more like it but they been working on games since 2001 like Mega man zero, Mega man ZX, mega man 9 and 10, and did artwork for Shantae and pirate's curse. They also made gal gun double peace which is a larger project game. So Not sure if they are a indie small company, but they are ex capcom employees who have been the team behind large number of mega man games before 2000.

I think it's crazy with these DLC characters. The game is very good for one FULL playthru IMO, however I don't approve some of the music change/remix they've done.
Also next DLC should be an additional map with new monsters, bosses and one new gameplay mechanic.
Shantae, Shovel Knight and some other character which I don't know aren't thaaat super great. I mean it's fun to try for a bit, but it's only fun for so long.
Very insane that the DLC chars were free aswell. I missed the time for Shantae but Shovel Knight I got free.

Is possible that in future update may contain the original soundtrack for the game from the NES, I investigated the game files and some tracks are original nes music. Though is only speculation at this point.

As for the dlc, the additional characters are just additional characters. Not sure if they plan to expand game to a longer map than already decided. The characters add slight game play changes while keeping the core gameplay the same. I guess they didn't want to work too hard to construct more levels and perhaps forget some things in between with perhaps other characters having some possible flaws with the gameplay. So they constructed a map that the main character jason was intended for then added new characters with their own abilities to change up gameplay if the player intends to replay the game again with different rules. I could try to speculate but is only observation so none of this could be true.

Well, I tend to pirate everything, and the game was randomly suggested in some thread, so I decided to try it. I had no idea about the team, or that they were small. :P
I'm not completely sure about the size big or small, just that they been doing multiple licensed work as well as their own work. I suppose since they needed some publishing help that could consider them small. Azure striker gunvolt striker pack for 3DS and nintendo switch is published by Yacht club games (Publishers and developers of shovel knight) along with a exclusive shovel knight amiibo feature, and gal gun double peace was published by Pqube internationally for $60. They do what they can, the game is $9.99 mostly cause they had no need for publisher when is digital only and done by nintendo. It saves them and us money by making it affordable, instead of ranging to $40-$60 retail, considering the content available for this game, it wouldn't be wise to sell on a expensive game cart for about 6 hours of game play.

Companies aren't necessarily small, a few games are just unknown is all. For example, level-5's Attack of The Friday Monsters, I've never really seen it brought up amongst 3DS RPG Gamers, which is kinda sad seeing as the game is so good.

Don't forget dark cloud, Rogue Galaxy and some other ps2 titles, and other such games on 3DS. :)
