Well, that just makes things so much easier doesn't it? haha Regardless, i have been told that once again, getting a second 3DS or a Flashcard is not an option. Before the thread starts, I would like to share something told to me by @Quantumcat . She brought to my attention that buying a 2DS is a very cheap and affordable option for getting your device hacked. On a 2DS, you will most likely drop about $80 (USD) for the system with an additional $2 (USD) for the game needed to perform a DSi Transfer. Now while many people are still wanting to offer service to people, THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST CONSIDERATION. My main goal here is to help others and it would be a disservice to give people a bad deal. So before taking any action involving your wallet, consider whether it would be better for you to purchase a 2DS. If you find someone who is willing to help, consider the cost of a 2DS and how much it will cost you for this person to help. The goal is for people to save money, not waste it. (This is to be no disrespect to those wanting to help. If you were in their shoes, what would you choose)With that being said, I do understand that a 2DS is not an option for some and would like to proceed with the map below. I just ask that you please consider the above disclaimer before any transaction.

Map of Tempers willing to help others install CFW on their 3DS
I understand there are a lot of people on this site that missed the boat when it came to installing Custom Firmware (CFW) on their 3DS. For those of you who updated their system to 11.4/11.5, it might seem all hope is lost. Well, hopefully the fine folks here on the Temp can help you out.
What is this thread?
This thread is for users with 11.4/11.5 firmware that desire to have CFW on their 3DS. Tempers listed here have offered to help some locals in their area with CFW installation.
How is this done?
Below is a "map" of Tempers who have "offered" their services to anyone who is local to them. They are split into two categories.
-Those willing to meet an individual and hack there 3DS in person
-Those willing to hack an individual's 3DS, but only through postage
They will use a method (WHICH EVERYONE SHOULD READ UP ON HERE... ) called DSi Transfer or NTRboothax. The DSi CFW install is longer than a normal <11.3 CFW installation but just as effective. NTRboothax on the otherhand only takes a matter of minutes

I suggest DM-ing me either through Discord or Gbatemp. There we can talk about what group you would like to be put into as well as
how much information you would like to share with the forum.
Sharing Information?
This is the controversial part of this. Putting out information on the general area you live in can be very scary and bad! That is why the information given must be vague. For an example, I live in the United States in the state of Arkansas. I live in the North west part of it. That is as much as i would be willing to share. If you do not feel like going that far with information, then maybe the second option is for you. If you would be willing to share your current country as well as state or Provence, then maybe helping someone hack a 3DS through postage is more to your liking.

If you need some help and there is no one around, then you can contact me either by Gbatemp or by Discord and i'll add you and your region to the list of people who are needing help. Who knows, maybe someone seeing a Temper in need in their region may prompt them to sign up to this thread and help you out.

Okay, this is the most important thing to talk about and for many reasons. MANY tempers have complained about helping other people in the past with
hacking their 3DS. After hearing their horror stories, people asking for help can be pretty terrible people. If you are someone who needs help, the two
sections below, you must READ and AGREE with.
Etiquette
I like to believe that people in this world can be responsible and respectful towards others.... and then i wake up in the morning.
These people are spending THEIR time to help you. The most you can do is be patient, respectful, and for PETE'S SAKE, DO YOUR OWN FRIGGEN RESEARCH. Everything that you would ever need to know exists on this site. That is also why their exists a Noob Thread here. PLEASE READ AND ASK QUESTIONS HERE. If you act this way to a person who is willing to help, then keep in mind that they can pack their bags and leave a job unfinished. Heck I would suggest the person helping PURPOSELY brick your system. Keep that in mind when asking someone for help...
Compensation
Another thing to keep in mind is that these people are spending their time hacking your system. Since they are providing some sort of service, it should
be expected that they would like something in return. Whether it be for the DSi game, the drive to a local place with wifi, the postage costs, or the general time spent hacking the system, the person helping you should be compensated. This compensation can be decided upon when asking an individual for help.
Keep in mind, these people want to help and don't want to scam you out of your 3DS or money.
Do's and Don'ts
If you are Helper...
- Remember, you can say no. DO NOT feel obligated to help someone.
- Do not offer to do it at your house or their house. This is for both party's safety and well being. Meeting up should be at a local place with others around.
- Do not share your phone number. Try to keep all communication through Gbatemp, or applications like Discord.
- Please tell them that everything you will be using to hack their 3DS is free (Excluding the DSi Game) and that all of this can be done without paying.
- Continuing from above, keep in mind that you are able to, but are not required, to ask for some sort of payments for your services and time. If they refuse to give you money, do whatever you want to their system.
- Although strange to ask, please inform the person you are helping that if they are a child, then they should be accompanied by a parent.
- You are able to refuse your service to someone that not cooperating with you.
- In the event that something between you and the person being help is to arise, please save all conversations for revision later.
- After every person you have helped, i will put a star by your name! ★★★
- THERE IS A THREAT AT ALL TIMES WHEN MODIFYING YOUR CONSOLE. IF YOUR 3DS IS BRICKED DURING CFW INSTALLATION, IT IS NOT THE HELPER'S FAULT. TO AVOID ANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDE WITH THE HELPER AND DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING. I DO NOT WANT THE HELPER TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERRORS THAT MIGHT OCCUR.
- The contents of your 3DS may be completely erased during installation. Please keep in mind that this is may be a result of wanting your 3DS hacked.
- Do not offer to do it at your house or their house. This is for both party's safety and well being. Meeting up should be at a local place with others around.
- Do not share your phone number. Try to keep all communication through Gbatemp, or applications like Discord.
- Please note that all software and applications (Excluding the DSi game) are free to the public. Although an agreement on payment of services must be made before any meetup or postage.
- If you are a child, please have a parent or guardian with you if meeting up with a helper.
- In addition, if you are a child, please inform your parents what you are doing. This is not for users to pirate warez but is to allow the use of homebrew. I do not condone piracy.
- Be as respectful and patient as possible to the person who is helping you and if they ask for your assistance or system information, please cooperate with them.
- After CFW is installed on your system, you are not allowed to ask for any additional help from the person who helped you. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!! Several links have been posted below, that will help you with anything that you made need in regards to homebrew and updating you system.

NTRboothax
So Now that NTRboothax is out, it will be alot easier for CFW to be installed on a person's 3DS. So This is my advice to anyone in need of help...
- If you are able to purchase your own flashcard, that may save you money.
- If you own a flashcard, you may be able to send it to someone and they can flash it for you at minimal to no cost.
- It is also possible that a user may sell you a flashcard. I would ask
To ensure that everyone knows how much the item's used in modding a 3DS are, i've created a chart here that can give you an average of how much you will be spending to get your device either hacked by another individual or yourself if you choose that sending it off to someone is not your sort of thing.
Please keep in mind, this is going off American prices. If your countries economy is similar to ours, then there shouldn't be that much of a price difference. (maybe?)
Also keep in mind that this chart does not factor in the amount of money someone will charge you to modify your device.
Other Consoles
I understand that there are a few people who are able to perform hard and soft modifications to various other systems. As useful as this information be to many users, i would like to keep this thread focused on 3DS modding. HOWEVER, if you are able to mod other consoles such as a PS2 or gamecube, I will put a comment next to your name saying you are able to mod other consoles.
That all being said, we are here to help. Below is a map of the world with people all around it wanting to help. If you see someone nearby, give them a holler and maybe having homebrew on your 3DS won't be just a dream after all.
