Why is that Watermelon yellow? It looks like an actual Melon and not a Watermelon.
Sure it is some weird Watermelon variety I don't know, and now I just wanna try it.

Never had a yellow watermelon but they're supposed to be awesome...

48C though.
I can't even comprehend that. I would not, for all the money in the world, ever leave my goddamn house. I assume you'd just die anyway if you did. Wtf.

Yellow Watermelon is quite old and rare species of melons here in Serbia. They taste really sweet and I love them. Hadn't had one for like 20 years.
It's really hot, during the nights it's around 35°c and it's been like this for a week. Some major ponds are dried, crops are burnt.... I was almost a month in the Land Down Under, and came back home to this hellish weather

I think you meant 38c, 48c is a temperature normally found in the desert in the Middle East or in the Sahara, both on a hot day.

Idk where you are in Serbia but the forecast doesn't show temps above 40.

Edit: about those seeds, me bf is interested in them.
Need postage costs returned?

Yeh, direct sunlight heats everything, then it's quite understandable haha.
Accurate temperature measurements are taken in the shade at 1.5m height iirc.

Fun fact, a ground temp of 93.9c was recorded in Furnace Creek once, in direct sunlight.
Highest temp ever was 54c iirc in Death Valley.

I'll pm you the details, just mention what you want in return for it, if anything~

Sure, I remember throwing water over the asphalt back in my old city, and the water evaporated almost instantly.
Anyway, I am still alive. The asphalt might have well over 80ºC, but the air temperature was more like 50ºC.
Fucking asphalt, it gets too hot.

I've eaten yellow sno- ehm, watermelons I mean.. *cough*
Yeah, yellow watermelons. I didn't think it tasted any different to regular red ones, but it may very well be depending on the fruit itself. Some are just tastier than others :P

Speaking of weather, this summer has been awful here. There have been a few days of warm weather, but nothing NEAR a real summer.

Same, I've had it a few times, and I don't see how it's different to regular watermelon.
Same goes for yellow kiwis really.
Both taste the same as their more common counterparts, but I find the yellow color looks less pretty/appealing than the standard red (or green for kiwis) so I prefer the standard color.

I think yellow kiwis does have a slightly different taste. A little softer texture and tastes a bit sweeter and more like an over ripe regular kiwi. The green ones are lovely, the yellow ones not so much IMO.

EDIT: Seems like my observations were on point with this blog at least :P
Some other fruits and vegetables have different color varieties, but the taste the very same. Not so with the golden kiwi. While tasting a slice of golden kiwifruit, you know you are eating some kiwi, yet at the same time it is far sweeter than the tart green kind. There is almost no tartness at all, which some in my family missed, as that is part of the whole kiwifruit experience. Golden kiwi is also softer and almost mushy.
