I just looked through the publicly available legal proceeding and her lawyer apparently dipped (in a legal way of course).
So yeah, even if she somehow manages to find another lawyer, she is most definitely not winning that case.

I find it interesting that it sounds like she is deliberately trying to inflate everyone else's legal fees. I don't think she realizes that if she loses she just might be forced to compensate them.

She is most likely going through some sort of psychological breakdown from what I've seen.
It's very sad, because in all her pain she has managed to hurt and anger literally all the people who might have been able to help her, and she's basically self-destructing everything in her life right now.
Point is, you probably shouldn't consider her actions as being the result of rational thinking.

The game industry also has an interesting history with the concept if you go back to the pre NES and "home computer" days where a lot of programmers would be denied credit for their work, hence things like hidden credit screens or them signing their work in interesting ways.

Do you mean the random nicknames in the credits of capcom games? My favorite is Bun Bun. No idea who it is but shows up in Mega Man 4.

It is irrational, I suppose I'm still trying to understand why. It sounds like she was in a psych hold, but then was released because they decided she wouldn't physically harm herself or others. But what she is doing amounts to financial and social suicide, and she's causing a LOT of trouble for a lot of people. It's like she's locked down on a goal of revenge and is completely ignoring the cost.

I don't know about that one in particular but it sounds like it could be. Japan was one of the more notable examples here, even keeping up with it into the GBA days (lots of the cheaper game series type things being this).
