Kingdom Hearts III confirmed for 2018, gets Toy Story trailer

The long awaited next entry in the Kingdom Hearts series has received another trailer, a month after Square Enix posted the Orchestra trailer for E3 2017. The new trailer confirms that the game will launch in 2018, and that it will feature a Toy Story world.

Have you ever played any kingdom hearts game? It's a Disney collab, of course it's childish.
Yeah, te one for PSP or PS1 iirc. The story tone got ruined when they introduced these childish characters which then even began ruining everything even more.

When Mario Odyssey needs to be downgraded to meet some standards that alone shows the Switch won't run KH3 without taking some hits.
didn't say it wouldn't need to ge downgraded, all games made primarily for ps4/xb1 will have to be downgraded when ported over to switch, though I would be willing to except a lower visual quality portable version of the game

Suppose KH3 on the Switch would probably look like a game you'd get on PS3, which by itself would be visually fantastic, imo. Of course, PS4/XO/PC are graphically far better but PS3 at its maximum isn't bad by any means.

Games like Uncharted and Heavy Rain showed just how good PS3's graphical capabilities could be.

also, to anyone who doubts mgsv or gtav can't run on switch, look at the ps3 versions, if there is a large enough active player base for a system a port is ALMOST, but not completely, but still, almost guaranteed to happen despite power

GTA V or MGS V can run on the Switch obviously but not without downgrading it. If PS3/360 can then so the Switch.

your kidding right?
No, even Mario Odyssey or Xenoblade 2 don't come close to the graphical fidelity of KH3.

Now that I have a window, I have a better idea on how I'm going to replay the originals. I have 1.5 and 2.5 on ps3 (I bought them over a year ago, back when everyone said it was impossible that they'd get ported to ps4) and have just been sitting on them, waiting for a release window for 3.

Looks like I know what I'll be playing in 2018.

If you expect PS4 visuals on a portable device, you're in for a wold of disappointment. It's not possible to have those on a portable.

Then you don't have to play it. I have the same sentiments about the Mario & Rabbids game, but I didn't go into the topic about it and say "the entire point of this game should be void," because the game will be great for others. If I want my more "serious" Mario games, there exists more serious RPGs in the Mario universe, and even some sports games.
Same thing with Kingdom Hearts. If you want the world without the Disney characters, there exists many Final Fantasy or other Square Enix games that would be quite similar. No sense going into this topic and complaining about it being childish.

Good luck seeing for less than 400 dollars and with a good battery life.
I'm just sayin that years down the line I'm sure there may be an afordable option that powerful, tech changes and gets better over time so even if it is decades down the line, I'm sure it will happen

Can we stop pretending that the concept of Kingdom Hearts isn't a steaming pile of garbage?

Years, down the road, yes but not in the immediate feature. People are still bitter af that the Switch isn't up to their implacable standards; if people are so concerned over raw power instead of games, they should get a PC.

It's perfectly feasible to create a portable PS4, the power consumption of the Slim is rated at 150W, but in reality the system never goes past 95W - there are gaming laptops that consume far more energy and create way more heat. The PS4, just like the PS3, is already based on a laptop-style topography and cooling system, it's just missing a screen. I don't think it's far-fetched to say that it could be mobile if there was a market for a mobile PS4.
