Hacking Could I get Help With Luma not loading?

The rest of my 3ds still works. menuhax and homebrew launches just fine, and the other things I have.
When I try to load Luma I Just get a black screen(but the blue power light is still on though. Just the screen darkens), and it doesn't load like usual. Which is odd because even when this does do that. It usually loads after I reboot it once or twice. I'll Upload screenshots of what I need to; Just tell me what I need to show so I could get some help.

Version of Menu hax & version of luma you are trying.
Also why are you still running menu hax?

I think I can help but I'm going to need some info.

You said you have menu hax installed but do you also have a9lh or b9s installed? Luma need one or the other.
Depending on what you hax you have you might need a different version of Luma. What version are you trying to use?
Have you tried to remove the sd card and boot? I remember corrupt files on the SD card can cause the issue your described.

Yeah it boots with out the sd card. It boots with it too. at least I think it's menu hax because when I load it it reads the menu hax loader then loads homebrew launcher. I've had this ds for at least a year now and I've had no problems with it until the other day.

From what I remember about MH is that it loaded a CFW not the HBL.
Are you saying that you system boots into the HBL on boot automatically?

Yeah. It goes: The menuhax loader, then loads, the homebrew launcher, and then I select luma, and then it'd load luma.
do I need to expand any of the folders?

No, just trying to figure out your setup.
OK so from what I can peace together you are NOT running a9lh. You are just running menuhax and you launch Luma through HBL.
If this is the case, you might just need to install menu hax again but do tell what version is your firmware the 3ds is running and if possible the version of Luma you are running.
Do you know how to reinstall menu hax? Also would you consider upgrading your system to Boot9Strap and Luma 8.1. It's kinda the way to go...

The Firmware version is the version the ds is at without the sd card in right? 9.2.0-20u is what the 3ds i'm using is at (without my sd card in) 5.5 was luma version. The reason on that is because I had someone else do this for me, because This seems kind of complicated to me (so I pretty much have left it alone and just used it as a cfw 3ds). Sure I'm good with tech and stuff, but I didn't think I was THAT good at it. So no I don't know how to reinstall. Also I wouldn't mind upgrading if I don't lose my games and progress etc.

OK, so you are also using EmuNAND.
It's not too hard to install B9S on an older 3DS.
I can point you in the right direction but you would have to do the leg work.
First before anything, Backup you SD card, NAND and EmuNAND to you PC.
You will need to follow https://3ds.guide/ . If all ends well you should be fully hacked and keep your games.
I can help you if you get into a spot but only for another 2 hours as Splatfest is tonight.
I suggest in the mean time do the backups and charge the 3DS.

You could probably also just replace your Luma files with the ones from version 7.0.5

Everything worked out fine. Heck he even upgraded my ds. Would recommend dis guy.
