Why the fuck don't we have them yet? Ffs Nintendo...
I love my N2DSXL so much. When I first saw them I thought they were an ugly joke but it has grown on me now. The thing I like the best is the sharp edges so when you hold it one-handed the edge sticks to the inside of your palm, meaning very little tension necessary in your grip to keep it there. So your hands get tired more slowly.

I wanted one ever since I saw the ad on my iPad in Health & PE :P All jokes aside however, I really, REALLY want one. So bad that I am going to be using my 2 years worth of savings to buy one on launch day!

IDK... I’m too used to 3D effect, I’m not convinced to give that up... every time I turn 3D effect off to let people around me see what I’m doing, the game feels “different”...

OK, I have 11.4, up to date luma, and A9LH.

Am I good to update?

If you are still on A9LH you can't have an up to date Luma since after v7.0 it stopped support for A9LH.

But, in any case, yes you can update, I have A9LH + Luma 7.0 and update to 11.5 without any issues.

I do want to update to B9S, but have read too many post about random crashes compared to zero issues with A9LH + Luma 7.0, so still waiting for things to settle, then I will follow the guide at this link

Holy fucking Jesus, CALM DOWN.
Make sure your SD Card is mounted. If you're sure it is, try restarting.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Try Wood firmware
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    yea ik im stupid
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
