so after that i can click on a lets say wario land 4 GBA rom cover and the game starts, no entering emulator etc...?Ignore the plugins, is nothing relevant to what you plan to use wiiflow for. WIIFLOW can load homebrew, that is all I was saying. Download Wiiflow master mod.
After that you can use it to load wiiflow from the system menu without needing homebrew channel.
- Download the attached files.
- Extract the files to a folder
- Copy the folder labeled folders to your "APPS" Folder on your sd card. to your sd card.
- Put the SD card Inside your WII
- Go to homebrew channel
- Load the WIIFLOW CHANNEL INSTALLER HOMEBREW
- Install WIIFLOW CHANNEL FORWARDER
I know your pain x)i spent like up to 3 weaks every evening figuring shits out
What?so after that i can click on a lets say wario land 4 GBA rom cover and the game starts, no entering emulator etc...?
But i dont want that. i can already do that, thats why i mention plugins, where i can have emulator games in one place withot needing to enter emulator...What?
NO, you start the VBA GX emulator from wiiflow and load your rom. JUST LIKE EMULATORS DO.
yes - go to the wiiflowiki link in my sig to read all about them. Can someone explain me how fiiflow emulator plugins work exactly and where and how do i use them?
plugins are not an outdated concept. and not a way to replace the HBC. plugins were to allow you to view all you emulator games with there box covers via wiiflow coverflow interface. then when you started a game it starts the emulator which autoboots the game. you sir if you don't know what you are talking about and you clearly don't then you need not bother to try and answer peoples questions.Based on observation, wiiflow plugins are outdated concept? But anyway you don't NEED THEM. I believe it was at one point to allow loading homebrew without using the homebrew channel but wii flow instead. You don't need the plugins to load homebrew from wiiflow, just as long as the homebrew browser can recognize them wiiflow can as well. I use wiiflow master mod which works just as it is. Just make sure you put the backup games in the proper place like the other person who quoted you said.
wow! are you guys that stupid? does anyone use google anymore? theres this website i made a few years ago called the wiiflowiki that explains everything about wiiflow plugins. if you googled wiiflow plugins i sure it comes up. and its even mentioned on Abz's masterpiece thread and website.

I wasn't sure what the idea or deal was about plugins, but thank you for explaining it.plugins are not an outdated concept. and not a way to replace the HBC. plugins were to allow you to view all you emulator games with there box covers via wiiflow coverflow interface. then when you started a game it starts the emulator which autoboots the game. you sir if you don't know what you are talking about and you clearly don't then you need not bother to try and answer peoples questions.
Try it, its really cool ^^ although, i wonder if there are updated eplugins.... but they work fine anywayI wasn't sure what the idea or deal was about plugins, but thank you for explaining it.
No thanks, I hardly use my wii for emulators. On very rare occasions I have in the past when I wasn't able to use anything else but I have many things to use it on now especially my android tv. I don't have a problem of loading a emulator and then rom like I always have.Try it, its really cool ^^ although, i wonder if there are updated eplugins.... but they work fine anyway
Yes some plugins are a little outdated. The retro arch ones you can just download from retro arch and replace the ones you have if you name them the same. I may explain more tomorrow. Sorry if i was a little rude. Thats not my usual self.Try it, its really cool ^^ although, i wonder if there are updated eplugins.... but they work fine anyway
its ok. Hey, so..i was wondering if you can just tell meesential files for one game/emulator to work... i figured its:Yes some plugins are a little outdated. For the side covers if you are using the source menu then you need to edit the source btn by adding or changing emuflow= to the correct number for the flow on its side.its ok. Hey, so..i was wondering if you can just tell meesential files for one game/emulator to work... i figured its:
1. Box covers (full with front, back, spine)
sd/wiiflow.boxcovers/snes9xgx/supermario.sfc.png
(this is where all box cover images go)
2. Cache folder (for faster loading)
sd/wiiflow/cache/snes9xgx/super mario.sfc.wfc
(thats boxcovers cache folder. i had hard time figuring out why my boxcovers appear when i deleted them, so i deleted cache and its ok now)
(this is cache so it wont load every time when entering)
3. Plugins folder (folder where all plugins, or emulators are stored in .dol format, along side with music in .ogg format, configuration ".ini" files that can be edited as text file)
sd/wiiflow/plugins/.....
4. Roms (place where all games go)
sd/snes9xgx/roms/super mario.sfc
(i know i can change path in .ini file in "sd/wiiflow/plugins/" folder)
Thats all i figured out for now... tit i miss somethnig esential for one emulator to work properly and to display covers?
There are also other folders, but idk how important they are, cause i want to make order on my SD so....
To be honest, i only need few stuff, but my sd is loaded when i copied all the crap!
I dont need pc, dosbox, spectrum an those shit...i just need snes, genesis, nes, gba wii, gc and thats it...and nand... but i have bunch files nad folders when i copied wiiflow to sd that i honestly dont know what is imnportand and what does do what in here..its a mess of a loader, but its nice..it has bugs here and there but its ok....

I have problem when i select snes, i set up snes games to be on side, i mean cove is on side, but when i ented it constantly shows upright position of boxarts..i must manually select 1 on wiimote to find side position...and it wont save my choice for snes... in wii and gc screen its all cool, boxes are upright, and in genesis emu, but in snes emu they show other arangement...how can i save individual arangements?
yup..you did xDFor the side covers if you are using the source menu then you need to edit the source btn by adding or changing emuflow= to the correct number for the flow on its side.
Or you can use wiiflow lite which does it automatically. But i dont make things even more confusing for you.
Simple question- do you use the source menu? Which means do you press B to bring up the screen with the boxes of different game systems?yup..you did xD
is there some video, or idk if i was explaining my problem good enough... i already turned boxes in horisontal position for snes games, thats fine, but when i exit and enter it shows different arangement, than i must manually select that arangement i set up earlier, for horisontal box cover orientations with button 1, and its every time i select snes games.
oh also i cant get genesis box covers to show..i did everything exactly the same as snes but i dont see them....

Wiiflow is so complicated and broken and im so pissed....i better not tell anything now... idk why the **** did they made it so darn complicated...
try starting wiiflow and goto settings then startup settings and set force cios on and set the cios to 250. also i believe d2x cios beta 52 works better then 53.Hi there!
I've just upgraded my old usb 2.0 500gb hdd to a 1tb usb3 (wd). Everything was working fine till now, using an old Wiiflow version with waninkoko's cios (yes, wii has been collecting dust for years till my kids decided to give it a second chance)
As the new hard drive was not detected, I upgraded to wiiflow 4.2.1, cios d2x v10 beta 53 at ios 250, FAT32 partitioned... but not charging anymore. Wiiflow plays ok, but hangs after trying to play the game, and it stucks at white bar screen, just loading 1/10 of the bar.
Games play nice with USB Loader GX (old version...), but I prefer wiiflow home screen
Any suggestion about what could be failing?
Thanks!!
does wiiflow work on wii u via wii VC without gamepad support? i haven't heard anyone confirm it works via wii vc injection. and if it doesn't then it may be due to the savegame wiiflow uses for bootup.Any chance on updating this so it works on Wii U via Wii VC injection with Gamepad support?
