Hi Fledge. Wii enthusiasts sure are lucky to have your continual involvement updating wiiflow. Lite is an awesome experience. Thanks for all you've done with it.
I have some fun covers I enjoy looking at but I also enjoy using the random select a game option. The thing is, when a random game is selected it immediately starts booting it up with no chance to admire the cover or flip it over to read stuff on the back. Since you changed the button activation settings in selecting random game (i.e. no longer press "z" over the question mark, but now hold "b" and press "-") and since the hold "b" and press "dpad up/down" still cycles through alphabet... Do you think you'd ever have any interest in implementing a select random game which just selects the close up cover view?
non autoboot but just selects the game. in other words - instead of random boot it would be random select - so you can change it if you don't like the choice. hmmm i don't know maybe ...

I made a forwarder based on the original WiiFlow StarNight forwarder:

Download

It loads the boot.dol inside the wiiflow_lite folder, inside the apps folder.

@Jochte @roukxwel @pBullet
I made a patched release with your ideas - return to wii u menu and random game select.

Changes:
- added for wii u vwii to be able to select exit to Wii U system menu using the wii u channel. set it either via main cfg pg 4 exit to option or home menu>exit to menu select wii u menu. Also removed priiloader and bootmii as exit to options when on wii u vwii
- added random select game option. manually edit wiiflow_lite.ini and under [GENERAL] set "random_select" to yes then while in wiiflow lite main screen hold B and press '-' will random select a game instead of random boot a game.
- removed region change from savenand emulation types. why? because according to overjoy's commit he said it didn't work yet. it was for a future version of d2x cios when davebaol added it to d2x cios. i looked at all the d2x cios commits from that date to present and didn't see that it was ever added. if i'm wrong someone let me know and i will add it back into wfl.
- made some small bootup changes in case of errors on bootup.
- made some changes to the way wiiflow lite handles emunand switching and other minor emunand code editing.

download it here - https://sourceforge.net/projects/wiiflow-lite/files/wfl patched/
you will need wfl_r1134 first then just replace the boot.dol with the one in the patch file rar.

let me know if all is working especially the return to wii u menu. i'm unable to test that personally.

Thank you

Hey @fledge68 I cant seem to load wii games with the wiiu drive plugged into the back ports and the vWii drive plugged into the front.

It launches gamecube games via nintendont with it plugged in no problem.

If I unplug the WiiU drive, I can launch wii games. Otherwise, it goes to black screen.

Using cios 251 alt beta53

Don't use v10-beta53. It's not stable. Use beta52.

Ah ok.

I always get error "No games found in sd:/wbfs".
I don´t see any menu.

I have two partitions.
1: FAT32: GCN Isos
2: NTFS: Wii Wbfs

They work fine with USB-Loader GX.
What am I doing wrong?
when you get the error msg can you move your pointer down to the bottom of the screen - icons should appear and you need to select the settings icon. on page 1 goto partition settings and change wii to usb2. then go back.

Thanks, now it´s working. :)

Two questions:
How can I deactivate rumble in the menu?
Can I deactivate buttons in the main screen? I want to toggle only between GCN and Wii, no Channels/HBC/Plugins.

you only need one partition afaik. FAT32, especially if you are using wbfs format, you can limit them to 4GB file sizes

to deactivate rumble you need to edit wiiflow_lite.ini. look under [GENERAL] and set rumble= to no
to deactivate Channels and Plugins buttons from showing edit wiiflow_lite.ini under [CHANNELS] and [PLUGINS] and set disable= to yes
Homebrew can't be disabled in wiiflow lite.

i recommend notepad++ to edit wiiflow_lite.ini
