I've just softmodded my Wii and I was thinking of playing some downloaded Wii games but I'm not sure really how to do it. I have already installed Homebrew Channel and my Wii is already softmodded with LetterBomb. I have a 16GB SD card in which I used to softmod my Wii and a SD card adapter. PLEASE HELP I REALLY WANT TO PLAY ISOS ON MY WII BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW! -Thanks :D

I've heard things like Uloader that are FAT32 compatible and since my SD card is FAT32 formatted I thought that there could be a way. If anyone knows please help!

Well then, download Wii Backup file manger. Convert your Wii isos to WBFS format. On your SD card root, create a file folder called wbfs (All lowercase) Put all your Wii games into that folder. Open up a loader on the Wii, and it should see the files.

Its better for you to use the SD card just for Wii Shop/VC games and get a USB storage device just for Wii/Gamecube games, also since you just softmodded your Wii with Letterbomb you should install BootMii and Priiloader to avoid bricking.

Have you fully softmodded your Wii yet? Judging by your post, it looks like you've only installed the basic stuff, such as the Homebrew Channel, BootMii, and Priiloader. Have you installed a cIOS (or more than one) yet? ALso, uLoader is not the best option anymore. I recommend having a look at ModMii to get what stuff you need.

Full retail Wii games have never worked correctly when loading from an SD card larger than 2-4GB as far as I've researched. However I have not looked into it much since last October.
I tried a few different methods, the best of which was to use EaseUS Partition Manager to partition the SD card so that there was a WBFS partition and the FAT32 partition was for the Wii's intended functions/VC/wiiware. Doing this is slightly complicated though because Windows will only recognize the first/primary partition as a mass storage device. I was able to get the games to display in several different loaders but none of them would successfully boot. (And I was primarily trying to get this working with a 16GB and a 32GB SD card, both of which were brand new and working properly.)

The explanation I recall regarding this problem said that with cards larger than 2 (though some reported no problems with a 4GB), there's going to be addressing problems. I triple checked my methods and was never able to boot a WBFS/Retail game from SD. Zero issues with a USB Flash drive, so I just found a very small one that doesn't stick out.

I was able to get DIOS MIOS for gamecube running great and loading games from SD Card, but you should try to just get a USB flash drive for your WBFS games. A 16 gb is around $10 in most office supply and discount stores I've been to recently.

Thx for all the help guys I guess I'm just gonna get a flash drive for my games after many research I guess the best decision is to buy a Flash Drive that's 16GB. Although if anybody does have methods still don't hesitate to tell me. :)

So to play the Wii games on the Wii, can I use usbloader GX? I know for Gamecube games you use USB loader GX then it goes into Nintendont to play right? So ok.. what about Wii games? When you choose a Wii game in USB loader GX does USB loader GX play it? Or do I need another homebrew app like Nintendont but for Wii? Thanks! I'm so confused. lol
Why did you bump this ancient thread? Yes, of course USB loader GX loads Wii games. That's the whole point of it.

Because it's rude to talk that way to a beginner who doesn't know a lot. It's common sense

Common sense would be to read the site's rules first and the dates of the post you're responding to. You bumped a post that was old for no reason causing people like me to look at it to make sure someone didn't need help.
