Well even though they haven't forced update users on games we download through the Eshop, I've decided that once they do force updates, I'm gonna just replay my new 3ds and play the games I haven't beaten and still buy physical switch games unless physical switch games will be forced updates only, while Eshop version won't be, who knows, that might change everything and I might just buy all Nintendo games digitally, while buy limited edition physical games like Cave Story Plus which has a manual. But as much as I love my Switch and think of it as an HD GameCube, if it starts with for forced updates for games, I have my 3ds to fall back on for the time being aswell as Vita but more so my 3ds cause it has all my favorite games on it.

I know Arms is the first physical game with a forced update but it's digital version does not force you to update, this maybe the same for all future games or it may not, it depends, we will see with Cave Story or Splatoon 2.

They'd be foolish not to block Eshop in the next f/w revision. Either way ... $59.99 for Arms ... that game should of been $45 tops. Spla2oon will be the interesting one but what good is that game if you can't go online anyway.

If they can block the Eshop, that's the problem, firmware 3.0 is out right now and yes it says I have to update but all I have to do is reboot my Switch and Eshop works perfectly, so somehow Nintendo can not block Eshop completely from previous firmwares, which could be hackers way in.

Oh goody, another professional critic that knows what price things should be.. Lovely...

If 3.0 doesn't block eshop/online, there's no reason to currently update. Hm.

If your fast enough, you can post your snap shots that you took in game on Facebook but you gotta post fast when you reboot.

Also Nintendo might not be able to do a force update when we reboot our Switches and go to Eshop because of a loop or something but I think the Eshop on the Switch is not like the Eshop from 3ds and Wii U and is instead a modified Web browser to let us buy Nintendo games off of because one time it acted like a Web page to me.

It definitely can be patched, all they have to do is make an update that changes the eshop and it can prevent a connection or give an error if you haven't updated.
