Hi. So I've been looking around and I haven't seen a answer for this, so I'm sorry if you've answered it before. USB Helper doesn't always seem to work correctly for me. It gets stuck downloading games and stops downloading. Sometimes it manages to finish the download out of nowhere but sometimes I leave it for far longer than it should take and nothing happens. It seems to be more difficult with bigger games where it always happens. What exactly should I do?/Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Hikari06 can't wait until the big update is released. A game launcher for CEMU, nice!!!

So, let's take a look at your screen. I'm pretty sure that there are games there that will work OK with CEMU, some of them will work so so and others will directly not work at all or crash.

It would be great if you could include an option under which the user could identify under which category a game would fall plus one stating not categorized yet (*). Let's say a color mark green means playable, red means crashing, etc.

By doing so, you would not need to enter into an already known crashing game until a new CEMU version is released.

Plus, sooner or later a new CEMU version will be published. It may help enhancing some game experiences or it may hurt a game that was previously runing in your PC. So, if the user that had a previously marked-up playable game after the new CEMU release may fall, he/she would be able to see very quickly this and may decide to stay with the previous CEMU release.

Of course, this would help testing if the previously crashing game are or are not playable after the new CEMU release.

Please note that I'm talking about a user defined categroy, because a game may play for you and may crash for me. It would requiere some user effort, of couse. So, it would be better that adding the category would be optional.

In addition, if the games could be sorted by category (let's say green playable on top) it would be great.

Last but not least (sorry if answered before) Is there a way to launch CEMU in full screen mode from USB Helper? I know that there is a command line parameter that I cant't remember right now (I can google it, though), but I don't know how to put it in USB Helper. I've seem also a way to create a shortcut with an option for full screen, but this would require to have the ability to tell USB Helper to use said shortcut instead of cemu.exe and I don't know how to do it.

(*) To use an standard, you may consider the CEMU compat list categories (Perfect: Game can be played with no issues. / Playable: Game can be played through with minor audio or graphical glitches. / Runs: Starts, maybe runs well, but major glitches/issues prevent game from being completed. / Loads: Game loads, but crashes in title screen/menu/in-game. / Unplayable: Crashes when booting/infinite black screen.
It looks like to much detail in there, but as I mentioned, it can be considered as an standard.

PS: I hope that the new UI would exlude the "power by CEMU" message.

I actually realized the game list on wikipedia denotes whether or not a game is on the eshop, so I'm going by that. It isn't 100% accurate though, I've already noticed four games that it says aren't on the eshop that I can download with your app.

I could use some pointers on importing games. I'm trying to import a game that can't be downloaded, Sniper Elite V2. I've actually moved it into the same directory I have your app set to download to, and select the GAMES folder to import from but it says it can't find any games. Can it not import games that the app can't download? Or is there something going wrong?
No indeed USB Helper will only let you import games that can be downloaded from the app

Could you post a screenshot of the download log at the moment it happens?

Yeah having a compatibility rating is a good idea :)
By the way the new UI will automatically launch CEMU in fullscreen mode and will indeed bypass the disclaimer :)

I apologize if this has been answered already -- we're at page 132 in this thread and the forum software search feature wasn't helpful for what I searched for.

Are there docs somewhere that describe what the different filters filter for? (Or feature request -- Mouse hover over the filter to get a description popup)

For instance, what's the difference between "WII U Download", "WII U Retail Download", and "WII U Software Download"? If everything is being downloaded from Nintendo, shouldn't everything be "retail"? Also isn't everything "software" since they're all downloads (as opposed to physical discs)? Why is there a "Wii U Disc" choice when all content is downloaded from Nintendo's eShop? Filtering for this brings up zero results?

Actually those are the official categories as specified on the eShop. I'm not sure myself what the difference is but that is the original denomination.

And then it just now said "the maximum number of attempts have been reached. Aborting.
Would it be possible to have some additional info about your system?
In particular, how much RAM do you have and how much disk space have you left on the drive on which you store the games?

I have plenty of storage. My ram is 8 GB. Is that enough?

How do I get my 3DS tickets in? I use a rar file with all my Wii U tickets... I dumped some .tik's from my 3DS with Decrypt9. All the files have random names

Yup, more than enough.
Can you make sure your antivirus is not interfering with the app?
It looks like that, for some reasons, the app is denied access to memory.

Can anyone help me to solve a problem installing WiiU USB Helper?
I have tried and failed to install the program on windows 10 using the updater.exe. All I get is a spinning wheel that disappears after a few seconds with no sign of the program. I used another setup file I found else where that ran and created program directories for WiiU USB Helper but when I run the program it brings a window up titled "launching Application" with a connection diagram with verifying application requirements. this may take a few moments" written at the bottom this disappears after a few seconds...

Thanks

It's possible your antivirus is interfering with the installer. Try whitelisting Updater.exe

It keeps saying "ERROR: no access to memory location." I've tried putting down the fire wall and giving it permission to access my computer but it didn't help. Also I do not have a anti-virus.

I forgot to ask you, but you are running the app on Windows, right?
I'm asking because the only time I heard of such an error was on Mac OSX with wine.

Oh yeah I'm running it off of Mac with wine. Sorry, I should have said that earlier. I don't really know how wine works so I assumed it wouldn't really matter as long as my computer could emulate the application. Is there a fix?

If I download a backup to my SD, why does WUUH decide to try to re-copy the game to the install folder, taking up twice the space? Why doesn't it just move it to the install folder?
Unless there is a setting I'm not aware of, this seems very counter intuitive.

The program maintains the download directory as a library. If you move something out of it, it won't be in the library anymore. That might be ok if you're using the program strictly as a one-time downloader, but that's not how it's designed.

Also, a copy function should never move files when it's labeled as a copy.

Guess we can agree to disagree.
On another note, why is the download feature so clunky? It says that Smash is ready to be installed, yet the update is still downloading (and has been for at least 3 hours now. I'll chalk that up to Nintendo's crappy servers).

Most games can be installed/run without their updates (if you don't mind the nagging/delay), and some people prefer to do the updates on the WiiU itself. That's why just the game being complete is enough to count as 'ready to install'.

Although I understand why that's set up that way, I'd like to see an option to include current update / dlc as part of the criteria for categorizing in the left pane so titles with newer updates / dlc could show as partially downloaded (or some new category). An option like that seems like it would cover your case as well.
